No game master response after 3 days trying to get my account back, what's the deal?

So I had to make a new account recently and spent money to play again after not playing for over 3 years. I forgot all my information and went through the process of trying to get my account back and setting up a new email with it. My support ticket was 88752781 and after giving tons of information to get my account back I was greeted by a game master to send him an email i’d like to use to get the account back. Since then i’ve received no email, no response in the slightest. I just want my old account back and to HOPEFULLY transfer my 95 dollar expansion I purchased as well as game time I invested in. Is there any humanly way possible of getting ahold of anyone? because I keep basically wasting my days off of work not being able to play and wanting to do so. Not too sure what else I can do at this point.

That’s not something that they are able to do. If the purchase was recent and has not been used, then they can typically refund it and then you can re-purchase it on the account you want it on.

For recovery of the old account, the only thing you can do is wait for the reply to your ticket. As long as it is still showing as open, you should get a reply once it hits the front of the line.

Your ticket is open on this Battlenet, Belgrum. Transfers - as Perl mentioned, aren’t something they are going to be able to do.

They could move a license - but you need to be aware if they do that, the licenses are still separate and anything on the Battlenet account at a shared level, i.e., heirlooms, pets, achievements, etc., do not move with and any other game licenses on the account being moved away from won’t be accessible.

This one is not quite 3 days old, so it may still be a little whlie. Our queues are far longer than we’d like, still - but the times are slowly coming down to more normal levels.

My ticket was created a week ago and the response from Game Master Vandreanelyn assured me all i needed to do at that point was send an email to get my old account back. Previously I sent in a ton of information to get to that point and the response from Vandreanelyn was 3 days ago now going on 4. I am completely fine with leaving my mounts and toons on this account if it means i could at least transfer the expansion code and game time over to my old account which I also noted in the ticket. I’m just trying to get more of a basis on when I can actually expect some sort of movement on my ticket.

Again, that’s not at all something that they can do. They can’t move an expansion from one account to another. It’s not something that they have ever been able to do. The process is to refund the expansion (assuming it still qualifies for a refund) and then you re-purchase it on the account you actually want it on.

As Orlyia pointed out, your current ticket isn’t quite at 3 days but will hopefully be answered soon.

Edit:

Queue times fluctuate and as such, no specific time can be given.

it is definitely 100% over 3 days old. I’m not quite sure where you see it’s not as I have the ticket pulled up on my end. @Vandreanelyn responded 3 days ago awaiting a new email which i sent that same day and since then no response or email to the new address I provided.

One I’m looking at - at the moment is 2 days, 23 hours and 52 seconds old.

Blizzard does not correspond via email. That is a “do not reply” address.

You would have to reply by re-opening your ticket, or by putting in a new ticket with the requested info and reference the old ticket number.
EDIT - never mind. Seems Orlyia confirmed you did use a ticket, not email.

I’m not trying to be hard at all, I do really appreciate everyone’s response. I just know that I got an email in regards of a response to all the details I put in which then led to game master @Vandreanelyn to ask for the new email that isn’t associated with any battle net accounts which I did and within 12 hours of his response. I also added if there was a way to at the very least transfer over the Dragonflight expansion and game time if possible since I spent about 110 on game time and an expansion. I’ve barley touched the expansion either and i’d be completely fine with removing it off this account just so I can play my old account. I’m just confused by this whole process because i’ve just been awaiting some sort of email from blizzard on this new email I created to finally be able to get my old account back.

  1. First step is to put in the ticket to regain your old account back. :white_check_mark:
  2. While that is in queue, you figure out how you got compromised. Run a full malware scan, virus scan, change your passwords from a clean machine. This includes email. They normally get in it. Use a gmail with secondary authentication.
  3. Get response and provide Blizzard the info they ask for via ticket. :white_check_mark:
  4. Wait for reply then get account back!
  5. Appeal ban on account if the hacker got it banned.
  6. Once you have your account back you can ask for a refund for DF, if you qualify. Then you could purchase it on the other account. Blizzard can’t move it for you.

Hi person,
I’m at 7 days myself, when the ticket was first created it said typical response time 4 days 21 hours… but im thinking thats per response… lol but i cant confirm it actually. so take this how you will. Dont use time off in hopes it’ll get resolved before then, it may of course… but im just saying, take this into consideration. until then… waitforhelp

Luckily I wasn’t hacked, only forgotten all the info and such. My only concern is that the ticket is showing me it has like 10 days left or something of the sort and in a week i’m going to be away for a solid 10 days. So i’m more worried about this process taking an abnormal amount of time. From the way you guys are explaining things, it seems as if the whole que process of a game master to respond is restarted after they respond and I feel like this is taking such a unnecessarily amount of time. As your description of the process I am legitimately just waiting for my account back as i’m sure my new email will just receive some sort of link to do just that, which I don’t get why that is taking so long.

That isn’t a countdown, it’s the average time of the longest ticket in queue. It gets a lot of people, they really should change that.

It’s just kinda ridiculous that basically the response timer gets reset after one GM response it seems. Like why not open a few tickets, complete them and go on to another batch as opposed to opening all of them and just leaving other tickets in the shadowlands :eyes:
My account wasn’t even compromised like some other peoples do, literally just forgot the info and i’m waiting on like 1 email to let me back in at this rate and even that is taking days on end which kinda sucks.

lol, ok, i’m not the only one thinking this same thing.

Nope, because then tickets would stay open with no customer follow up, the GM would just be standing in a empty room. Then no one would get help.

you already know they cant just bump you up. If I mentioned this id get attacked for it. be careful the forum mafia might hit you too for it. watch lol

i mean what you’re describing is basically live chat. they give a response to your ticket and move along to the next one, unless they sit and wait for you to respond which could be anywhere from right away to never, your ticket must go back into some sort of queue. it doesn’t necessarily go into the same queue it did the first time, it depends on the issue.

I’m not using time off, i’m just off work which I had liked to play. The crappy thing is that even when I get my account back, i’ll have to put ANOTHER ticket in for a POSSIBLE refund. Which more or less means i’m probably out over 110 dollars and will have to spend another 110 dollars basically for the same stuff i’ve already bought because their support takes so long. Not only that but now I don’t even know if I want to play on my current account because then i’ll just get attached to toons I won’t ever play again. So it’s honestly just a big unfortunate thing.

I mean it’s definitely not live chat, as if I had live chat I can almost guarantee this whole thing would have been resolved within an hour lol
The hard part is over as i’ve given them all they needed to know and legit am just waiting on some sort of link to this new email account they had me create but even them sending a link seems it takes eternity which is kinda ridiculous but all I can do is just sit and waste the 110 dollars I threw into this account until I get my old account back.

I’m thinking you’ll be ok and the Gms will work the magic. I say this because i had a very similar situation about 8 years ago. Happened with a collectors addition physical key. i was able to call in and get assistance at the time. They worked the magic, removed the key from one account i accidentally activated the collectors addition on, when i wanted to activate a basic expansion on it, and moved the key over to my primary.

i don’t want to get your hopes up, I’m just explaining the situation I experienced (please also keep in mind this was years ago)

Edit: i should also note though for clarification… i did NOT play on the expansion after activation. so nothing in game had officially been executed after activation… i never even logged into the game. that may have made it easier. As soon as it activated i noticed the account i was logged into and immediately panicked.
