trying to fly from stormwind and noticed that there were no flight paths. i was going to train my lvl 20 mage in one handed swords. no weapons masters. How do i train in swords?

Well, you’re posting with a retail character but you do not clarify if this is for Retail, Classic, WotLKC?
If we’re speaking of Retail - you don’t have to learn weapon skills. Whatever weapon the class can use is already learned. For the other variants, the article Zenjy linked tells you where to go.
For Flight Paths? Your character needs to go out and discover them. Again, there is some deviation if we’re talking about Retail. Retail characters automatically start out at least knowing the Flight Paths to the major cities. Retail also has the toys available from heirloom vendors that you can purchase to learn all of a continent’s major ones. There are different variations for Horde and Alliance for Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, then shared ones for later lands.

Naw its the retail version. I got the flight paths to work but i still cant find where to learn onehanded swords. There is no weapon masters. If there are then something is wrong
You don’t have to learn weapons anymore in retail. If your class can use them then you automatically have that ability.

Well, good news is weapon trainers ain’t a thing for the like ten or so years. You can just have the weapon a class can use from level 1.

Thank you all for your responses. I really appreciate it. I tried just equipping a One hand sword and it worked. No training. I cant believe it was that easy. I guess yall can tell its been awhile since ive trained for a weapon LOL

How nice it is for RP purposes, I’m glad we went away with learning weapons (skills) for a long while in Retail.
Gets flashbacks hitting very durable mobs with subpar weapons to up weapon and defense skills in the past before combat dummy’s…
