cant have it both ways, either a quest item being abused is deemed an unintended interaction or neither are. that means no stealing all the healer gear and dual wielding lohkamirs
so blizzard has already shown its commitment to fixing gamebreaking bugs, then diamond flask a 300-400 TPS increase on all bosses must also be removed.
and while were at it fix the global cooldown interaction so our ret pallies and enh shamans can actually use good team oriented weapons, such as nightfall.
blizzard, feel free to BUTT OUT of classic changes going forward, distiller was in the reference client therefore it should be in classic all the way through.
because WORLD BUFFS were not designed to be raided with, see flask which persist through death, whereas world buffs do not, 10minute enrage timers (the indicator for how long fights were supposed to last), AND evident by them being done away with by design in later content because literally no1 liked them.
No it shouldn’t, it would have allowed tanks to essentially AFK while still maintaining aggro. It deserved to be nerfed because it would have been abused way more today than it was in Vanilla.
This isn’t nearly as gamebreaking as the other things you’ve listed.
Does this mean I cant use mongoose, fire protection, or a food buff in a raid? Because they don’t persist through death??
Interesting logic, or lack there of, you decide.
Yes we can have it both ways. You’re simply being irrational here. You might want to study philosophy and read up on argumentation. You’re sorely lacking in those areas of understanding.
Diamond flask is a magic effect, and as far as I know, can be dispelled. Since its a magic effect it stacks will spell power, and the effect of the spell power is based on cast time, so, it appears to be working as intended.
They’ve already had it both ways with the Runeblade of Baron Rivendare. The healing it provided used to scale with +healing just like the flask active, difference being it was permanently active just for equipping it. It’s basically the exact same exploit, yet it was treated differently probably because they believed it was more severe. In some ways it was less abusable though. It required you to actually continue to wear healing gear, you couldn’t just snapshot it for a full minute like with flask and equip whatever you want.
Really? Log into the game right now and tell which one works.
You people don’t raid. You don’t keep logs. You don’t analyze any of the numbers your group is putting out and simply assume what’s going on and these buffs affect your game play. A full stack of world buffs pales in comparison to 2k-3k passive TPS for dropping an item on the ground, like a threat totem of some sort. A fully world buffed tank parsing 100 generates 2.4k TPS on Vael. This item mimics a fully world buffed tank with optimized gear parsing with infinite rage, and anyone can just drop it on the ground.
Then we can talk further semantics, such as the fact that Diamond Flask is a quest rewards and Ectoplasmic Distiller is a quest item meant to be removed from the player by completing the quest. One is using itemization to boost the effect of a trinket, the other is exploiting a quest to keep what’s meant to be a temporary item indefinitely because it has a game breaking amount of utility.
Nobody whining about this change ever cared about the health of Classic. You’re all salty about the arcanite bar you lost to jump on this bandwagon in the first place. You have no reasonable argument. Cry some more.
I don’t really care either way. However, they are both using mechanics that were obviously not intended to be used the way they are being used. The degree at which they effect the game really shouldn’t matter. If one is considered unintended and fixed then they should both be just for consistencies sake IMO.
Except they haven’t. So far they are throwing darts at a board to pick which are bugs and which are authentic behavior. Except in AV, there anything that helps the alliance is a bug.
Is there a cap on diamond flask scaling? Because if players are already getting like 500+hp every 5 seconds, how much can they expect to heal for when using Naxx gear? guy on youtube claims he could possibly reach as high as 1000hp.
