The metasheep have been and will continue to make Classic iterations change faster, and in different ways from retail.
The devs specifically said it wasn’t going to be a faithful recreation when they announced it, citing that #NoChanges didn’t work.

Alot of us play tbc to escape the horrors that are retail. Seeing all these crazy changes like this just takes away from the OG tbc experience

Then you can quit, there’s already been changes that the og version of TBC didn’t have so there’s the door

It should be easy for you to list the timestamp of them saying TBC will not be a faithful recreation as you said in your original reply.
The classic nochanges attitude that was taken actually made the game less authentic to the original experience, with world buff meta that was not widespread in vanilla.
Such is the same for TBC’s changes to make it closer to a faithful recreation. There will be exceptions as I know you will point out but judging by most of the changes are in the interest of authenticity.
I never said anything about authenticity. I said that they announced some changes because no changes didn’t work.
Sorry, I the last time I watched that was when it came out.
It’s probably the last ⅓ where they talk about changes and what not.
Anyway, we aren’t going yo get a truly authentic experience. Technology has changed, as have the players. Any changes we see are going to be in response to the players. Blizzard may try to make them as invasive as they can. But authenticity is a pipedream at this point.
