Why are elite mobs so weak and why do they give so much XP even in a group? These two things is why it’s possible to skip a majority of content and just cleave AoE grind up to 60. These two things has already brought about irreversible changes to the vanilla experience.
EDIT: Also this will cause burnout faster.
EDIT2: Admitted I was wrong about OP. Thought Blizzard made the game easier on purpose, but they didn’t. /thread

We’ve already been over the whole “elites are weaker” thing, and there’s no evidence to back up the idea that elites in Classic are any weaker than they were in 1.12.
AoE spamming dungeons would have been possible in 1.12, but very few people knew you could do it.
Classic is supposed to be as close to the 1.12 game as they could make it. It’s not supposed to be the exact same personal experiences we all had in Vanilla.
It was never going to be that. Not even 100% authentic 1.1 would have been that.

Then mobs are undertuned and don’t work with the design of the overall game. A majority of content is meaningless and cleave grinding will cause burnout faster.

Mobs are tuned to be as they were in 1.12.
According to Blizzard Classic isn’t about fixing what they would have done, it’s about bringing back what they did do.
As a last ditch effort to get Blizzard to fix their game before I go back to playing on private servers.

By all means go back to a private server then.
Blizzard has been adamant that they do not want to change the 1.12 data from what it is. They have given zero indication they’re even entertaining the idea of retuning things to make it harder.

Elites are a lot stronger at higher level. Overseer Maltorius in Searing Gorge would have put me six feet under if it weren’t for the timely intervention of a Horde warlock.

hunters have a game breaking change with feign death that kills the class in PVP and the devs refuse to answer for it

Since you’re the only one here capable of providing substance so far, what do you think of the idea that maybe their design is flawed? It doesn’t make sense to make a bunch of content and allow people to skip it and just easy mode the game. The overall design of this game would be better if they just buffed mobs to the point they can’t be cleaved through.
I’m pretty sure elite mobs back then weren’t this easy though. Hogger might shed some light on this honestly.
It should be noted that stuff in private servers was overtuned So if that is where you are coming from, it should not be a surprise it feels easier. If you are coming from vanilla, than you have 15 years of experience instead.
1.12 had nerfed some things since game launch, but not to the degree you are saying.
