You don’t, they just want good gear without doing any challenging content for it. We have a very loud entitled minority on forums such as this OP, who are ruining the game for anyone that actually plays it in any way.
Honestly all changes should be polled by Blizzard, just to show them how small this loud minority is.
Like he’s actually asking for Blizzard to apologize and give him loot, that’s how entitled they are. Polls are only hope for voicing opinions.
Yeah I agree, but the funny part is they’re just invalidating the content they enjoy doing. If they blow through all of their world quests a small % faster then they’d end up complaining there’s nothing else to do although there really isn’t in bfa in the first place though. I’d rather /wrists than log into wow just to do world quests and warfronts all day every time I logged in, I seriously don’t understand how people can do that.
I literally can’t level anymore and when I do I have to raid end game content with it otherwise I won’t bother, it’s not worth maintaining alts let alone leveling them for me unless they’re going to be used.
That’s my point, I as casual, don’t get to enjoy mid-tier content, it’s invalidated, I can’t enjoy normal raid, or bit of heroic raid, when I can get same reward in 3-4 days of mythic+, or a month of WQs and emissaries + warfronts, now benthic gear. There’s no incentive to try harder, to push your limits, and that’s what games need, games are about being tested.
The loud minority is mostly soccer dads, about age 35-40, who don’t really enjoy video games anymore, so want WoW tailored to them, they don’t want to “beat the game” or anything, but just be given loot daily for the 1-2 hours they spend on WoW.
MMORPGs aren’t meant for 1-2 hours of gameplay, it’s a hobby more than anything.
I personally couldn’t stay in a heroic only raid guild but I’m sure you could find a guild/group to hang with that would be more enjoyable than doing lesser content tbh, even one that may be progressing mythic although dealing with people that can’t carry their own weight by researching their class, the raid bosses/mechanics etc. making sure they’re doing as much as they can to upgrade their neck etc. to utilize it’s traits “not 24/7 but at least putting in effort”. Making sure they have gems/enchants etc.
I can’t stand people that refuse to do those especially the ones I’ve had in this guild over the years that don’t research any fights and at this point our officers have to be our vocal dbm/bw moderator when they have the addon staring them straight in the face, I’ll be honest sometimes it helps but seriously if you need your hand held and you’re doing end game content you shouldn’t be in there.
I’m not much for mythic raids, my golden days of raiding were in wotlk, we’d get into raid, progress, finish the raid, there was no super hard mechanics, we just learned basics and cleared the raid, that’s normal to heroic tier. But when I can just queue the raid and kill the boss, and get not only same, but better gear, in mythic+ or month or so of emissaries and WQs, it takes away the charm.
Yeah I agree it shouldn’t be like that, anyway I’m off, have a good night.
Night, pleasure talking with you.
Why does everyone say that wow needs to go into this modern pattern of instant gratification when it’s market as an mmo and the further away they stray from that the more people get annoyed at quit and want a new mmo
I understand where both sides argument are coming from…
I figured the 415 weapons was a boost to help get people going in new content, its the equivelant of the new contents LFR i dont see it as overly game breaking.
Having it changed on patch day feels, for lack of a better phrase, like a slap in the face.
In the grand scheme of the patch, 415 is nothing … 370 feels rather pointless.
It doesn’t affect me either way i just think better communication about it would of helped.
I fully doubt it was a bug, and even if it were it would of been simple to fix during PTR.
Your first mistake was not putting a date on the sale sign.
A free handout weapon at the start of new patch content isn’t there for characters who have been leveled and geared. It’s there for the fresh 120s who are still rocking the 280 quest weapon so they can actually do the content. 370 is where it should be.

We did put a date on the sale signs, but it was small and the customers missed them. That wasn’t even part of my job as I was a lowly cashier.
I think a 400 ilvl piece would have been appropriate. 370 is a joke.
funilly enought, people were crying about the level 415 weapon to be too much
now it’s not…
figures…
