Nightborne improvements?!? Is this in alpha? Any male changes? Need before and after pics!

No this is from retail, I was just playing around in the barber shop as usual and noticed that the hairstyle is not the same as it was.

The slight improvement to the Regal hairstyle is appreciated, but we’re still a long way off from having the standard of quality we deserve.

For instance, did you see the Regal hairstyle with the hair decoration added? It seriously makes me doubt the level of care that goes into the Nightborne’s customization when I see things like this make it to the live version of the game.

I just noticed something really essential while questing through suramar again - how come the playable nightborne jump animation is different than the suramar disguise animation? (The one that makes you look like a nightborne). Imo, the current jump animation (at least for females) looks really bad and doesn’t fit the regalness of the highborne - the way your character dips down extremely ungracefully looks super awkward and clunky. Whereas the disguise form has a nice dainty little jump where they don’t dip down all crazy. I would way rather have this jump animation, I’m not sure how likely they will be to change something like that but it would really improve the playable nightborne so much.

Nightborne are so ugly lol

I don’t know if this was suggested because I haven’t read all the replies, but I would like to see some color variations for the glowy hands. Fel green, gold, and frost blue would nice for Warlocks, Priests, and Death Knights.

The jump animation for the female Nightborne is either glitched, or is missing interpolating frames - it’s been this way since launch, apparently.

You can compare the frames of animation here to see that the jump animation is technically the same for the playable and NPC version, except for the glitch. Maybe that’s what you’re noticing…?

Even aside from the jump animation, there are other animation issues with the Nightborne currently, such as:

I’m conflicted on this. On one hand, of course more customization options would be welcome, but I prefer it be grounded and true to the race.

For example, the Nightborne that infused themselves with fel (Felborne) were corrupted beyond redemption and were wiped out after the events of Legion. It wouldn’t make much sense to have their visual identity be represented in the playable Nightborne, as with glowing fel hands.

Personally, I’d like to see the developers implement the Legion version of the arcane glowing hands with the outline for added visibility, because the effect we ha

Why are you posting on an alt, Straiso?

It’s been ages since I posted on that character and Nightborne are still ugly. So sad :pensive:

Also, this is my main now :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, I guess Straiso was your forum persona where you would pretend to be at least somewhat constructive.

My Nightborne character is beautiful, but if you’re of the opinion the Nightborne should have options that would make them even more beautiful, then we are in agreement.

I just want glowing feet to match my glowing hands. But that brings up an important question…

What is your fixation with glowing feet?

I tend to like a fair bit of your posts from my main but this I have to disagree with because although Nightborne still aren’t the best looking race and still need a lot of work and improvement at least we look a whole lot better now than we did before.

Why would someone not want the option of glowing feet to match the glowing hands? I actually turned my glowing hands off on this alt because her mog has bare feet and it’s like, as a monk, I use my hands and feet equally when fighting, so it’s like they should both glow or neither. But, you know, whatever. I just like more options.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don’t think Nightborne will be my thing until they can look like the daddies they were meant to be. :pensive:

And female Nightborne have never really been my thing so, they’re kind of whatever to me.

I mean…there’s no precedent for it; the Nightborne have never had glowing feet, while their hair, hands, and jewelry have been shown to.

The Nightborne barely have the customization that is iconic to them, let alone something as extraneous as glowing feet.

Has anyone here been granted access to the beta? I went to go scrutinize the Dracthyr customization, and the disparity in quality between what was added for the Nightborne in 9.1.5 and what the Dracthyr will launch with is both astounding and embarrassing.

No you.

Looking at the dracthyr armour in the customizations, I wonder why they have not done the same with the Nightborne with their arcane shoulder pads, with their body augments, and many others.

The Nightborne had and has such a big potential to be the best race WoW has ever seen but, we are not blessed to see them I believe.

Thus, I am so grateful, I am grateful for what they have added for us, I am grateful for the slanted eyes. However, as mentioned before, other stuff should have been added to show their connection to the arcane, their armour crafted with magic of the Nightwell.

The most importantly, I have not forgiven you (devs) for not giving is high-ponytail, like for the Blood elves/Night elves, but instead you added pig tails, with 3 animation points, which are so poorly done.

Heck even the 2 the most iconic hairstyles of the Nightborne are missing, and I complain for the ponytails…

Twitter user Ketrahz pointed out the lack of symmetry in the female Nightborne’s eyelid shape.
