Night elves did NOT get their revenge, this is unacceptable!

But that’s my whole point, she did not get her revenge on sylvanas. According to the devs she did, but in reality we can all tell that successful genocide of an alliance race is not even comparable with the death of 1 of many val’kyr. Especially after the night elves have been mostly peaceful and the things sylvanas did are to this day completely unjustified, and will never be justifiable. Yet, Blizzard will still find a way to make her a hero at the end, because there is no way they will kill her off (which would actually be somewhat of an redemption for the night elves.)

I’m being outrageous about the night elves losing everything and sylvanas losing nothing, even after tyrande got her revenge. Killing the val’kyr only has an impact when we actually get to kill sylvanas, but that will never happen.

Putting the death nail in her coffin’s a hell of a lot more than anyone else has managed to do. Take it for what it’s worth.

Ok you can have Sylvanas, but I’d like to kill malfurion, because of the merciless attack on that caravan. I’d also like the head of the boy king as no one is permitted to be more feminine than a female blood elf.

I wouldn’t say it’s worse than what others have done. Arthas has tortured her and after what she did recently, it’s what she would deserve from the night elves.

Sylvanas has never even said an “oh no” to the death of her val’kyr. Nathanos apparently found the situation very funny when he laughed at Tyrande for losing most of her people and getting nothing for it, as he even managed to escape.

I burned your capital city
In return you

  • force my leader to destroy ours
  • slaughter nearly every soldier in Darkshore forcing a new front in the war
  • become an avatar for the only confirmed legitimate god in the canon
  • given so much power that it literally killed every single other elf that attempted it or witnessed it since it was first invoked
  • empower all of your people who fight with you with some of her dark power
  • kill one of my leader’s few extra lives/ the only ways to continue her people and only couldn’t kill me because I immediately retreated in the face of your awesome power

BUT TYRANDE DIDN’T GET ANY VENGEANCE STUPID HORDE BIAS

No victory will ever be enough for the Alliance playerbase. You could outmaneuver all of our plans, invade our new capital, kill its leader, escape unscathed except for a background character being put back in the background, and still be mad that the Horde survived at all.

If there was any fairness in this game you would lose this war utterly.
But there isn’t, so the Horde will be beaten and made to heel again with the only statements from the victors being they wished they could genocide every race except the one led by the guy who exiles everyone who gets angry at the Alliance.

We’re discussing faction war. Not something else. In the current faction war, Tyrande is leading the charge on who’s actually managed to hurt Sylvanas.

Nathanos is also a smug individual who likely doesn’t understand how dire the situation is. We all knew this.

Call me when Tyrande whittles Sylvanas down to 2 Val’kyr.

You obviously don’t understand forsaken psyche.

They barely show emotion to most things, and to death? It’s a “meh” subject to someone who’s already been there, done that, bought the tshirt.

I think you just need to go outside and relax for a bit, because you’re getting way too wound up by a second rate story. Wows writing has never been and never will be remotely good.

A little math shows that might be the case. Three were taken out in Silverpine, one was lost already for her first death, a greater Val’kyr died in WPL at the end of Andorhal, one died in Darkshore. That’s five dead. If the number is ever increasing because it took one the first time, and three the second time, Sylvanas is screwed.

Of course word of god would come down and change everything about that entire section of story.
Poof! There goes Sylvanas learning that she isn’t as smart as she thinks she is.
Poof! There goes Sylvanas justification for being more controlling.
Poof! There goes the reason Sylvanas would even show up in solidarity with the Horde during the Broken Shore attack
Goodbye character building, see ya later legitimate loss, have a nice trip motivations!

I hate retcons so %*#&ing much.

Yeah, don’t we all :stuck_out_tongue:, however I think she simply just didn’t actually care about wrathgate is all.

And as I drifted towards nothingness I saw a light, then another, and another… My dear val’kyr
I know now - beyond a shadow of a doubt - that the val’kyr are our future

Sounds like mourning to me, especially since Sylvanas and Forsaken have muted if not absent positive emotions so becoming close enough to someone to mourn them is rare.

Also looks like we all miscounted, it took three val’kyr to rez Sylvanas in Silverpine.

Tyrande whittled Sylvanas down to 2 Val’kyr.

Hordie devs plotshield hordies. News at 11.

I started after that was introduced. When Arthas turned his head and called her out by name I figured she was behind it.

? Darkshore is still horde territory mostly and the land is destroyed while the horde also has full control of Ashenvale now. The only fighters left in Darkshore are the few sentinels left of the night elves and knowing blizzard they will still end up losing the zone.

3x the same point, yet tyrande wasn’t even able to defeat Nathanos. So much for avatar of “vengeance”

Sylvanas was never forced to retreat from Darkshore, she got what she wanted, killed the night elves and left. Losing 1 of many lives doesn’t matter if she never dies in the first place.

You might have a different definition of fairness. Horde are the villains of this expansion, everything the alliance did in response to the genocide of the night elves was justified and it still isn’t close to be enough.

I mean (And this is just my general knowledge of events.) Night Elves could have chosen to evacuate earlier, rather then the last minute when the city was on fire.

you do realize the expansion isn’t over yet, right?

the point I’m trying to make is that the night elf story is over since tyrande already got her revenge (as stated in the interview).

There might still be night elves involved in the future, but the quote from the interview is like a direct confirmation that tyrande is all happy now that she got her vengeance, despite all the losses the race has suffered

That isn’t what was said. Again, you keep acting like you’re some kind of victim. It says it right in the interview that you linked that they got to “tell a little bit of Tyrande’s story”. That doesn’t mean it’s over, it means the complete opposite.

It doesn’t say that either. You’re looking for reasons to be a victim. It says they got to tell a little bit of Tyrande’s story, that 8.2 would be following different characters to give other people some spotlight, and that while she might have gotten her revenge on Sylvanas that there’s so much going on and more story to tell. This also includes Tyrande considering her story quite clearly isn’t done.

Chill.

Victim? Well I just hate the direction of the lore and how something like this will just be justified in blizzard’s writing. It just screws over alliance players, mostly night elf players. It is just such a giant punch in the face having your favorite race going almost extinct and then getting told that everything’s fine now because you took one of Sylvanas many lives.
And I can’t think of how any horde players could be happy with the story besides if they just like being the bad guys commiting the same kind of atrocities as the scourge.

It doesn’t state that Tyrande’s story isn’t done, yes. But it is clearly stated that she will not get any revenge for her people because she has already gotten it, that’s the point. Her story might continue in some completely different aspect of the lore, possibly siding with sylvanas to defeat N’zoth? Because, you know… there are even now, everyone is happy and everything is forgotten. 1 Bonus life for thousands of innocent death’s. Those that died had a life expectation of thousands of years, too.

I would be happy if you were right with tyrande’s story against the horde continuing, but given the circumstances it sadly does look like we won’t see anything related to that in the future. When the lore dev’s say that something won’t happen then you can safely assume that there’s nothing planned for future expansions either, because they are far ahead of us with the lore. They are probably already busy with the middle of 9.0
