I was mulling canceling my subscription again today, but I happened upon a link posted to PTR content…instead of canceling, it looks like I’ll be race changing to undead!
Blizzard finally gave night elves got revenge…they took the core of Forsaken identity and shucked it, replacing it with feelings and hope. Mama Menethil is going to heal the Forsaken with love.
Picture it, instead of the Undercity, you get a rebuilt Lordaeron . Instead of dark rangers everywhere, you get real knights in gleaming armor and a monarchy ruled by love and light and healing.
The night elf genocide was pretty ghastly, but nothing in comparison to what being undead is going to be like. Especially when you have a Proudmore as your quest giver instead of your favorite Nathanos.
I can’t wait to serve the Lady of Light. My Queen.
I’m not bothered by it at all. we dont need light forged undead as an allied race, not when they can ruin the Forsaken from within.
I am seriously interested in what happens to the Undercity now. I feel like it will become dignified and regal since the Undead will no longer be arrows but instead people again.
Wait until at least Blizzcon to see if Undead make it on that last AR roster slot for Alliance. I wouldn’t be surprised if Voss has her guide those who want to go home.
I saw you post before about undead paladins. I remember that dude in the plaguelands and I never forgot that story either. Imagine being that strong willed and dedicated to wield the light even if causes you pain. I would totally be an undead paladin. And the Lady of Light will make that a reality.
I wonder how her rule would change the Forsaken vs Sylvanas. It would be interesting if some brought back a more regal and royal setting to the Forsaken.
Blizzard’s bad writing equates to Alliance players hating the people who play Horde and wanting them to suffer.
Makes sense.
“Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.”

If they can fix Nathanos, they can fix anything. She really does have a beautiful model though. They did a great job. I am truly happy for the first time in almost 12 years as an Alliance player. Great job Blizzard!!!
For the most part, the Forsaken didn’t really mind doing their various evil things, especially early on. Sylvanas may have seen them as nothing more than tools for her purposes but that doesn’t mean that what they were doing was against their will. They may be free-willed but they’re still undead; their emotional range is somewhat muted, especially for the softer emotions.
They gave Saurfang a new skin for BfA and killed him off before it’s over.
To be honest, this is exactly what I’ve wanted to happen for a while now. Back when they introduced the idea of heritage armor and I gave some thought to what the undead could get for theirs. Their heritage is lordaeron. Then Before the Storm happened, and it turns out that there are still a lot of them who are still the people they once were, and who remember their old existence fondly, and aren’t just murderous rage monsters. And now what do you know, they’ve even got a member of their old royal family back.
Sure, they’re still undead. And that sucks for them. But they don’t have to dwell on it and wallow in the shadows. Arthas turned them into monsters and Sylvanas tried to keep them that way. But now Calia can help them be human again.
