[Night Elf Thread] Don't tell me to wait and see ever again

Kaldorei wall themselves off from southern Kalimidor. Stonetalon pass rooted over, Azshara bridge destroyed, Big wall seperating Barrens and Ashenvale, overlooking a Horde Wall.

Tyrande stays somewhat bitter about the whole thing, is the voice of the hawkish side of the Nelves.

Malfurion, having far more contact with horde races through the CC takes some time to look at why some Horde races were so bitter at the night elves and is the one who is more willing to extend an olive branch.

Most areas are over 10 years in the past, but whisplore right now is with this shadowlands thing a new hit mess

Not entirely correct. Darkshore still has a very high concentration of wisps that are a result of the latest war. If they died in the War of Thorns, following the timeline of events, they would have gone straight in to the Maw then, never appearing in Darkshore… Yet there they are.

Yeah and thats the mess. We are been told that all who died in the entire fourth war and wot were directly send into the maw.

So, how was malfurion be able in the wot to summon all this wisps for his wall?

Maybe I should first check for content on WoWhead, but … no, I’ll be lazy.

Shoddy writing and lack of lore research.

But still… the point here is there are a large number of elven souls that did not go into the Maw.

Why are we looking at this?

Many whisps came from the entire unlock questline for the warfront.

The horde pc was send out with val’kyrs to summon the dead to strength the hordeline.

Most of them denied the call and transformed into an whisp to attack the Val’kyr

Also, even with the retcon about the SL, it’s still stated that not all night elf souls go to the afterlife.

See above^^

Even with that retcon, it is still established WoW lore that not all night elves go to the SL due to some unknown connection to either Elune or Aessina.

In what sense?

??? context please? Frame your question. I don’t know what you are asking.

You linked this book. Why are we looking at it?

As i said, irwishlore right now is in a rather questionable position.

Why?

I do not know. I am dropping what I have not seen here. You never know, it will suddenly turn out to be useful.

It’s not in questionable position at all. The wisps were intentionally placed in Darkshore after the attack on Darkshore and Teldrassil. So it clearly shows that not all elf souls went into the Maw.

That people don’t know enough about WoW lore to know that these wisps are the souls of dead elves is not the fault of the writers, but the ones claiming all elf souls perished in the Maw.

Oh ok. I thought you were responding directly to the wisp question.

Haven’t you read? This wisps come from the unlocking questline of the warfront.

They needed a val’kyr to transform into a whisp who bring back their soul first

What are you not understanding? It makes no difference that they are unlocked during the warfront. They are elves that died after the SL process was hijacked by the Jailer. They did not go to the Maw for whatever reason.

There for…
