I’d like Paladins, but not as a member of the Silver Hand. They could make their own order. Especially if they had Paladins way before humans even thought of it.

I would be ok with the Silver Hand of Elune, Silver Handed Night Warriors of Elune (might be too long)
Or Moon Paladin.
I just feel Silver Hand worships the light in a way the Night Elves do not, and Human culture already is waaaay too prevalent in the Alliance. Usually (personal opinion), Night Elven groups tend to be far more interesting, like Wardens, Highborne, etc. than Human stuff (Though Human Paladin lore is an absolute delight).

Maybe it’s that I don’t have very many postings… Jujubiju has 1k+, Índra has 2750+… and yes maybe a necro post… but I swear I have outlined a brilliant argument. Is it soooo wrong to want a paladin that has shadowmeld as a feature? Or that gains +1% haste/crit depending on what time of day it is? Or has a natural affinity for the natural order, which the Light of Elune professes?
Some would argue that the humans have given Night Elves refuge since our tree burnt down… but this feels very familiar to how Edwin Van Cleef started the Defias Brotherhood, after rebuilding Stormwind so many years ago, and never getting paid for it. WE Night Elves helped restore Stormwind to it’s glory after Deathwing ravaged it. We Night Elves have sat in counsel, attempting to help find every Wrynn ever lost to war, conflict or strife of some sort. You would think, some modicum of sharing would happen, since they placed us at the back of Stormwind, relatively close to the Cathedral of Light!!
First of all you don’t have to worship the light to be a paladin, there is a night elf in the paladin order hall in legion who uses the light of elune so its already in lore and this should be your first argument.
Blood elves channel and abuse the power of the sunwell, they don’t worship it.
Tauren can and do worship a sun god An’she to become paladins.
Trolls don’t worship the shadow in general, or at all really. Trolls worship Loa which are usually animal type gods some which can be shadow! Doesn’t mean they all worship or channel shadow power.
Basically all the trolls need to be paladins is faith in their chosen loa of which there are many. I don’t disagree night elves should be able to be paladins as I previously stated but lets be honest about the lore first.
Lastly I personally would like to see nightbourne druids for all these same reasons 
I used to be super opposed to Nelf paladins, but with Void Elves looking like Blood Elves, they’ve really opened the floodgates. Just open all classes for all races and call it a night.

This is a great point. The Undead, the Forsaken… delvers of Shadow, warlocks abound… they have PRIEST!!! Yes they could potentially be former Humans who once had the Priestly background… but within the same race you have Shadow & Light bearers??? Night Elves carry no warlocks. No shamans. We have a warrior, a plate wearing behemoth that stands by Tyrande as she clouds her eyes from the Light of Elune.
Pally is basically a holy priest with a weapon and armor. Since everyone can be a holy priest, they should also get pally.

I know my post is long. But I have this as part of my argument. The Moonfangs, Nerus & Delas, both are in the order for Paladins, Delas converting from priestess of Elune to a Silver Hand.
And yes LOA, but look at your leaders, Shadow Hunter’s, it’s in the name.

You jest, as yes there are some that treat the paladin class as a joke. I have seen it many times with the Horde & their kind with paladins. Same for Alliance. But condemn an entire race?
Necro aside, yeah Night Elves 100% should get paladins.
At least if they keep to their word (kinda 50/50 if that will happen with this company), they did say they’ll be slowly rolling out all the class/race combos, so time will tell.
