Night Elf Customization in Shadowlands

It is beyond frustrating. Especially since the only disappointment Horde had to suffer was NB lacking in the polished department… but they got NB.

Now people who wanted wildhammer (and maybe forest trolls if that was the customization we saw?) wont get to experience the story (however short it might be) of an allied race.

Theyre just going to leave Night Elf fans like myself high and dry while their precious blood elves will get everything they could ever dream of. All the love and attention from alliance players since Legion will go to them. It’s actually disgusting. Why do I say this? Because BfA was set up to knock the Night Elves down… And they were quick to move onto “oh Darkshore was won by Alliance” without so much as an acknowledgement in game, so we could move on to Saurfang getting to have his moment and Alliance cheering them on from the sidelines.

Remember those caucasion Night Elves (who’re suppose to be blood elves) in Vanilla WoW?

That.

-Separate eyes from faces, obviously, with golden and silver eyes, but also blue; even as late as the Val’sharah cinematic, Night Elves are shown with blue glowing eyes.

-Separate eyebrows for males, and more facial hair overall.

-Highborne customization: While it seems the Nightborne are using a lot of that fantasy rn, I do think there can be some overlap with fancier hairstyles (not the NB ones exactly, but more elegant ones) and even up-turned ears, cause I think there’s an implication those are an highborne thing.

-War3 concept art throwback: on the other end of the Higborne spectrum, the more naturalistic War3 concept art night elves could make a return. More tattoos and adornments, hairstyles with leaves and roots and other bindings, more intricate styles overall with braids.

More clown makeup options.

I wouldn’t mind more face options, different hairstyles, silver jewelry, and the ability to choose the color of facial markings separately from hair color.

Honestly, best idea thus far.

Charcoal colored hair.

Maybe some burn marks for scars.

Was that to dark?

… Night Elves with hair-on-fire and skin burn customizations…

Sorry, not sorry.

A normal non-glowing eye option that looks like most other race’s eyes.

Didn’t realise it till just now but, I’m tired of the amount of flashlight eye in this game. If they are going to separate eye color from the face option, give every race with glowy eyes one or two regular looking eye choices.

Required Shrinkage:

  • eyebrows
  • hands
  • ears
  • feet

That is all.

Noooooo!!! I love my ginormous ears! Maybe make these a slider option?

I can live with that.

I want to see Shen’dralar customization for them. It’s just like the Wildhammer dwarves that are being added through it. Both have been Alliance since Cataclysm, both need representation.

Shen’dralar might not be different enough for an AR, but they are perfect for a customization option!

Shen’dralar look exactly the same, though. I’m not sure I can think of any way to customize them. I mean… maybe some moon jewelry?

I feel like Night Elves’ customizations are going to get the short end as usual.

Based on WoD models revamp, usually, the first races worked on are those that get the better treatment. Blood Elves was the only exception.

Male Humans and Male Night Elf were one of the last and we all know how that turned out… Male Dwarves and Gnomes were way more polished.

100% this… I want my Female Night Elf Druid to have proper Druid eye color (Orange).

Would also be nice to see some body tattoo options… new hair styles… Night Warrior eyes on other skins… other eyes on Night Warrior skin…

I just don’t expect anything good for night elves anymore, no expectations is better than disappointment.
