Night Elf Customization in Shadowlands

Could we customise the male night elf casting please… headache attack…these are elegant night elves…

Long hair that isn’t in a braid.

But also long hair that is in a braid.

I’d really like if (all races tbh) they had hairstyles that were not only long, but voluminous. Take some horizontal space instead of just vertical, y’know?

Nelfs were first in the tattoo department and it’s an important part of their culture.

Sounds sarcastic? Could be wrong, though. But more customization is never boring.

Not to mention… Nightborne, Dark Irons, Lightforged, Mag’har, Demon Hunters, etc all have tattoos. And Highmountain have warpaint. So… :woman_shrugging:t2:

If male and female both had the option of golden, silver and Night Warrior, that’d be three. Sounds good to me. And makes sense with lore.

Except they aren’t. Close cousins by this point.

And we got Wildhammers as a customization instead of an AR, while DI got to be an AR. Not too sure what you’re going for here.

Yes they have always had markings and yes it is important. But every race is going to have tattoos soon and it will just be one of those things that is basic. Its not going to mean anything.

Are they going to separate skin from it? Cause I dont even know anymore what they were trying to accomplish with the night warrior bit. But I guess 3 will be enough.

We will have to agree to disagree, but essentially my point is that all allied races minus one could have just been customization as evidenced by their wildhammer and forest troll options. A HM or a LFD isnt any more special than a bloody wildhammer.

It’ll mean something to the players who choose them for their character. And it’ll mean something to the roleplayers.

We have no idea.

They were giving us more of a roleplay identity. And they could add more if they think they make sense.

Yes they could have. And many of us asked for that. It’s not what we have, though. So I fail to see why you’re so bitter about more customizations.

Highborne did join the Alliance.

That’s why you can play as a Night Elf mage.

Why is everyone saying amber eyes for female and silver for male?

Canonically the amber eye color is a sign of great magical power in a character. Azshara and Illidan both had amber eye colors and this was indicative of their magical potential with the arcane.

Also don’t we already have silver eyes by default?

All males have amber eyes by default. For such a rare trait in canon to be basic we may as well give it to our women.

As in, the choice of both for both male and female.

I don’t think you got my question. Im wondering why people are saying this gender has this eye color and the other has another.

I have no idea. Highborne are just Kaldorei. So I’m not sure what exactly they need to make them look like Highborne. They already do. :woman_shrugging:t2:

Highborne look are more pale and blue version of Night Elves. Different hair colors and some different eyes even.

Sort of like a difference between Mag’har and Azeroth orcs. Just some visual differences but pretty much the same race.

Because currently all male Nelfs have golden eyes and all female Nelfs have silver eyes.

No… that was the original High Elf models. Not Highborne.

Ah.

So like Azshara in her NE model?
