Just do a full clear. The first mask if you havent unlocked much research or your cloak is low will be the hardest. But you only need to clear a Lost Area to get the other masks.
There are 2 in Org and 2 in SW

Where are these players and where is this communication channeI? I haven’t seen this concern brought up here with much (any?) frequency.
It’s a fine fix if your internal metrics are showing people aren’t getting corrupted gear.
But it’s hard for me to understand how someone can’t get corrupted gear. I can understand not getting the “right” corrupted gear because …assuming you play…you cannot honestly say the corruptions are well weighted.
But not get corrupted gear??? This sounds like a massive percentage of the player base is barely competent enough to log on.
Or is this just …no one was bothering to kill thrall/Algeria and there’s a certain designer out there looking goofy?

Yeah i think the reality is their metrics are showing not much interest in cloak upgrades after 12 if people even made it that far.
They likely realize only diehards would be doing the weekly 4-5 mask clears. Otherwise the content is abandoned.
Corruption gear isnt hard to get but like you said, getting the right corruption is the issue.
Its just a way to make underwhelming vision loot viable… i might actually do them on a weekly basis now lol.
Kudos, and that’s great and all, but where are the account wide essences? Like I could give two s**ts about guaranteed corruption, when the real thing killing my ability to maintain and enjoy alts is the essence grinds. I’d rather play 8.3 content than go back to old raids, grinding reps which factions I’m already exalted with on my main that have no bearing on 8.3 content, etc.
Legit, MAKE ESSENCES ACCOUNT WIDE. Please. It’s ridiculous that you haven’t just made this happen despite the countless requests to do so. It’s the last patch of the xpac so really what’s the harm or the point in holding out?

They’ll add them once player count drops to nil.
Corruption gear = 8.3 content.
Essences = 8.2 content.
They’re going to focus on making 8.3 appealing, not fixing mistakes of the past. Blizzard likely feels that granting account-wide essences will not directly impact how many players engage in 8.3 content, no matter how much players say they’ll play it more if they had account-wide essences.
I should also the only issue with corruption is that we have no way to target getting the traits we want.
– Remove the vessel cost for visions and let us run them as much as we want. The cloak is capped so there isn’t really a reason to have a gate on entry.
– Add vessels as a new currency that drops once per week from a full 5 chest clear and maybe +1 for every mask you have.
– Add “augments” from Wrathion that we can apply to slots in gear using the vessels as currency. I.E. Boots have 3 available augments you can buy – Twilight Dev, Infinite Stars, and +stats. Gloves have 3 augments we can buy – Tentacles, Void Ritual, + stats. Etc etc.
– Allow the augments to be rank 1 and us the ability to upgrade them via the vessels.
Do that and I think corruption would be largely fixed.

Adding them as account wide would allow my alts to actually focus on 8.3 content instead of needing to back track in 8.2 content, so I’d disagree with them on that. I have alts I want to play, I just don’t want to grind out the essences so instead they are all going to sit on the bench doing nothing until Shadowlands.
Plus again, there is no harm in making them account wide. It’s old content and it’s the last patch. Just do it already Blizz. I’m clearly not alone in this request given the amount of youtube content creators who are also asking for this.

All I know is if shadowlands alpha/beta doesn’t start in march that this is just a stall tactic lol.

Wot? You want gear to have both top-tier corruption affixes on the same item? And make it so that everyone can get such an item if they work long enough? How does everyone having TD & IS, TA, VR, etc solve the problem of corruptions running rampant and passive dmg making content trivial?
Or did I misread, and you meant there’s 3 available, but you can only apply 1 to gear?
I agree the item level doesn’t make sense, but is the issue a super easy 430 from visions or WQ emissaries giving 445 (=normal raid) the actual issue. Same difficulty should mean same reward. Whichever way they need to go to do it. Personally I think the emissaries should give LFR level at max.
That said, the 430 is just killing Thrall/Alleria right? No other zones and no masks? Honestly faster and just as easy as doing four world quests.
Or i know this might sound shocking hes enjoying the patch lol!

What grinds my gears is that there’s still NO PORTAL back to the Chamber of Heart after you go to Neltharion’s Lair in Highmountain to obtain the Petrified Ebony Scale for Rank 1 Crucible of Flame. So, you talk to a NPC who takes you back at the beginning of the instance after you defeat the Stonemountain boss and obtain the scale, but you’re left to Hearthstone out back to Boralus (or where ever your HS is set to), travel back to CoH and done.
So, why in every other situation where you obtain Dragon scales (especially for Crucible of Flame Rank 2-4) there’s either a Dragon or some other NPC that you can talk to you port back to the Chamber of Heart instantly?
After Ebonhorn tells you “Meet me back at the Chamber of Heart Champion, we have much to do”, there should either be:
- Talk to Ebonhorn to port you back to CoH with him.
- Have a portal outside Neltharion’s Lair.
Should be a easy fix for Blizzard just to put a portal there after the quest is complete rather than add a line to speak to Ebonhorn to have him port you back to the CoH.

ok, ill probably get ripped apart for this, but i think every last piece of gear in this patch should have been corrupted since it fits the theme of the content and cleansing should have been free.
