Next Special Class to be Cloth?

Hopefully, so we can cover whatever ugly form they decided on with a robe.

Not in one spec though, wont ever happen.

Even if they say dracthyr are two different spec they are the same they heal(not good really) as a dps,and vice verse,so there’s that ,and bard is no different in both as a whole.

Evokers arent a support class though. WoW has none of those. The closest WoW had to that was from Balance Druid in the Wrath era but it still wasn’t 100% expected that a balance druid would off heal. Although most of them did.

Tinkers make the most sense.
Also, I HATE Bards.

Honestly, I could see WoW eventually adding another spec to Warlock, which is the Necromancer spec. While giving Hunters a fourth spec, which is the Bard spec, Warriors get the Barb spec.

You would have to prolly wait another 10 years for another new class lmao

That’s what locks and unholy DK are. They’re not going to be any necromancer…

I played a Bard in EQ only problem with them playing support was they don’t have a defense style and really can’t play quests without help. So it could work out in solo content with maybe one other person.

I know they don’t currently, but they tried to join the Horde in BFA. Don’t see Alliance being welcoming to them.

If pallies and priests can be in the game, there’s room for necromancer and DK.

Pally and Priests are nothing alike. Both Unholy DK and Affl/Demo Warlocks have Necromancer abilities. There isn’t much way to make it work unless maybe they copied Necromancer from Diablo.

Uhhhhh

Yes they exist. Go look in the rogue class hall in legion and also there’s a bard in the valdraken inn.

They’re a race of vampire elves, not a class. If they make another hero class and if it does use cloth it may be something like necromancer, although they’d probably rip a lot from DK but it’s easy to say if they do another hero class that’s limited to one or two races people are going to riot as that’s what’s annoying folk already. If they did necromancer I’d imagine it’d be more like Diablo’s Necromancer than a cloth version of DK…the unholy likeness to DK like priests are like paladins. Similar in belief or method but they fight entirely different with different spells.

It’s a shame we no longer live in a day and age where class that is almost STRICTLY meant to buff the party can exist, just constantly giving temporary buffs because if I didn’t have to heal then I’d actually love to be a supporting role again (I am a default UI clicker, healed as paladin through til end-ish WotLK, I cannot do modern healing style).

Unfortunately, we are dominated by the class archetype triangle so I don’t know what else I’d want out of another cloth class.

Maybe a summoner class that just focuses on maintaining a rotation of non-interactable creatures/minions (meaning aggro would always be on the caster) and those summons would have passive auras as they used their abilities? Increased armor/damage reduction/increased healing received for party members. That sort of thing? I’m sure people more creative than me could offer better ideas.

Yes but actually no. Youre correct that the game never really points to any character and says “Hey, this guy is a bard”, but there IS precedent for music having magical effects, 2 in-game bands (ETC and i think the other was call something like “Death Blight”), and two instrument-based weapons themed around the guitarist and bass player of ETC.

Its not alot, but it has more lore than evokers did prior to Dragonflight or even monks prior to MoP (given their connections to the August Celestials, which weren’t a thing until then), so thats not really an arguement.

The new cloth hero class will simply be called Larry/Lana. It’ll only be available to Humans and Forsaken and they’ll be a healer class that hands out healthy snacks to heal everyone…

Why is there no profession with bare buttocks, why do dragons have to wear armor…
The dragon people I imagined are strong muscle monsters, not mosquito goblins with thin arms and legs

Because the concept of a pure support class that uses music is fun. It could be made to work with the setting fairly easily.

Bards as a DPS class

Maybe a dumb idea, but I’d like a astrology like class introduced. Arcane is as close as we get, but I’m thinking somebody that can control antimatter, or turn into constellation like figures (like algalon).

It could be titan based lore that gifts consteller powers to protect the realms.

I feel it’s a beautiful aesthetic and slightly different than other classes.

I’ve also wished for water based class or race but the closest we’ve got again, is Kultiran and frost mage/resto shaman.

Never really scratched that itch for me.
