BAsically. even on mega whitmane or kind of mega grobb…you can be real lonely in the 20’s. Legit need 3 person quests probably are’t getting done.
BUff gets you the xp missed from these. and gets you to where you could see people. You’d not know this is an MMO from some servers shattraths either lol.
hell the only people I saw this weekend in grobb tauren mills was alliance. ?? level, assuming 80’s. yeah, they shanked me as soon as my bat landed lol.
Haven’t seen them in a few days there. I was wondering when some crew would say hi. It was today lol.

I mean to be fair that is what happens with any version of the game after awhile. Everyone is focused on the end.
If you transfer your character to a retail server after they close Wrath, there may be a Joyous Journey buff.
Missed opportunity. If blizz were smart they would have left it on entire summer.

It sort of depends on what you like/want from it.
Having it be permanent is effectively the same as not having it at all in that it wouldn’t encourage people to level at the same time, which imo is a large benefit of the buff, which breathes life into the leveling world.
I actually am curious as to what someone’s playstyle might be like that a year into an expansion they are so focused on leveling yet also want an xp buff… not saying it isn’t a legitimate stance to have, I’m just curious as to what your playstyle, playtime, etc. are like that a permanent 50% increase to experience is something you care about.
Blizzard should have never put this in to begin with.

While definitely true. It was effective in what it does… and I’m not referring to the buff itself, but getting people to all level at the same time so you can have a somewhat normal and intended leveling experience.
With the new phase announced, and a possible go live date in early October, I’m guessing we could see JJ begin a few weeks before that (mid Sept??).
