Ok, when does it get decided and by who?
You skipped the part where some how the legitimacy is enforced.

If you are regularly getting vote kicked from groups, the problem is not vote kicking being abused.
And yet you still agreed to not use profanity. You agreed not to insult, harass, or stalk players. I will assume you do do all of these, since you are insisting it is your privilege to bully other players and they should have no recourse.
When the player who got kicked sees a racial slur that would get you a permanent forum ban, he reports it. Donât use gender or racial slurs instead of legitimate reason why you want to kick someone.
Iâm further perplexed, is this a solution to prevent vote kick abuse or is this just a mechanism to stop people from putting racial slurs in the reason field?
It seems more the latter than the former.
Just being a solo player violates the social contact, cause you know we have to Be social and help others even though we pay a sub to play this crap.
âPlay as a team with your fellow players - whether in [dungeons], [raids], [battlegrounds], [arenas] or out [questing] in the world. Do your best to support your team through your communication and behaviors so that you can all celebrate your success together.â
âAssist other players that you encounter in the world. Maybe they need some help defeating a tough [monster], or maybe they could use a little [healing]!â
How often are you getting kicked?
Ok, but what constitutes as abusing the vote-kick system if there is no rules around the vote-kick system?
It sounds like you regularly kick players for kicks, and have never put a legitimate reason in the box. Why do you think itâs a bad idea to type a legitimate reason for kick in the kick box, but think you should be shielded from using racial or sexual sexual slurs?
Because Iâm asking for more information on your proposed solution?
I didnât say it was a bad idea I said I didnât understand the point, which is why Iâm trying to get more information from you.
But itâs obvious from thisâŚ
That youâre either here just to fight with people or your ego is so fragile that you canât withstand the slightest examination of your own ideas.
Either way I think weâre done here.
He just asked you who decides what a legitimate reason is and who enforces itâŚnow youâre calling him racist and sexist, thatâs pretty crazy. Take several steps backâŚ
This is a great suggestion. So now a player need to log in the report and we can contest it. IF the report was not legitimate. This same system is in Overwatch 2.
Above suggestion would greatly help.
The point is pretty obvious. If you think the vote kick was genuine, let them log in the report. They should feel confident in their vote kick. This is a good suggestion. Now we can hold the vote kickers responsible. *** EG: if they report the player for racial abuse buit he has not typed anything, this goes against them - If they report the tank was not pulling, but he is tanking and has agro on him - this goes against the false report ***
we are paying for subscription. I am sure they can allocate it to AI.
AI can easily track , if somehting is typed
AI can easily track if tank is not holding agro in the dungeon or taking mobs.
At this moment there are no rules. You want to try it ? If i que with 4 people i will kick you out for no reason. Those are the rules.
Bizarre logic in this thread. Like someone saying, âa group of people deciding to kick someone isnât abuseâ without any context. Just bad logic all around in here.
Idk why people dont understand, ESRB rating does not include online interactions. Thus why we have a social contract⌠granted I could care less if someone curses, but yeah. You signed a social contract because it has to be done since online interactions can not have an ESRB rating.
The context for above person who askied has been covered for over a decade since rdf came into existence. If you want someâŚswing by cata forums. This comes up. It has since later wrath and rdf lol.
While it sucks when its abused (ive gotten a few of these, usually its tell tale sign is 3/4 people all same guild), its also reduced people holding groups hostage.
Prior to rdf and kicksâŚyou suffered the hostage takerâs ego if tanks. Or dumped that crap taking your own hit.
RDF, lfd with kickâŚits been great. Tanks with attitude and not backing any of it up, we send off to be someone elses headache lol. get a new tank in, they can actually read a healer mana bar. Awesome, I like this dude already.
it allows kicks of trolls. That one dude who is causing wipes on purpose. they canât do 1 thing right. Except mess up crap that canât be messed to cause wipes or hardship.
Thatâs not context, thatâs you mansplaining or whatever, we already know all that.
What I was talking about: A group of people vote kicking one person to troll, is abuse.
A group of people deciding the person needed to be kicked, is not abuse. The person gave zero context, they just said âpeople agreed to kickâ.
Considering you are claiming that you canât possibly know what the real reason is that you want to kick a player from the dungeon youâre in, youâre not one to talk.
Do I have to hold your paw and spoonfeed you?
punish! punish! punish!
what is it with people around here and wanting everyone punished?
itâs creepy
That would require manual review of every vote kick which would take an insane amount of resources. Probably best to try and not get kicked
Absolutely false. As with all potential violations, manual review would result only on reports. The benefit to a player learning what they did wrong would far outweigh any negatives.
Maybe they got a thing for people getting punished?
