I asked for dragonsworn back in vanilla. Claw, tail sweep, dragon breath, stomp. Awesome.
Anyway, do you like a example from Dargonsworn? you must play DOTA 1 or 2 with the Dragon Knight and leave in peace.
There will be no more classes as long as we first have the most needy Tinker class and maybe the bard.
question! would one of these specs have time and sand-themed abilities? cause, i’m all-in if they do!
hmm… i guess not…
only beign
Tank: Ruby Dragon
Dps: Bronze or Black Dragon
Healer: Emerald Dragon
everything will be with dragon transformation, yeah … like Druids with something DH Metamorphosis.
something more pathetic than giving another plate class level armor to another type of class that does not need more plate armor.
OH! bronze have sand/time powers! i’m in! gimme them dragonsworns!
nope, nope like the Prince of Persia of the Sand of Time
Only like Oculus Dragons mount copy+paste lazy clone.
thanks fans for giving blizzard an example of being lazy content for a new expansion.
oh… was hoping more for chromie from HotS… chucking sandbolts, sand clones, time-traps, that sorta thing. still, hopeful for a desert-y class one day!
yeah,yep,yes, SI,SI,SIP, OUI… but one thing.
Before you give more new ideas especially from Blizzard MOBA (gesh how I hate this moba it because I did not have DOTA 1 in WC3: REFUNDED and it was not only because of ICEFrog and Valve) we only need one thing before another new class or some new system.
WE NEED
IN NEXT EXPANSION
TINKERS LIKE NEW CLASS
And with new neutral JRPG anime futurisc neutral race for give a different approach to what we knew before the Tinker in Wacraft 3 and some WoW, and not only with gnomes and goblins who did not give anything at all those LOZERS.
not a fan of the borrowed power narrative that modern WoW has taken, but I could see this following that path as a focus point of an x-pac rather then the focus of a class
Yeah, there is a high chance that Dragonsworn is just an expansion feature like covenants, and the final WoW class is Tinkers (the final WC3 hero unit whose abilities are not in the class lineup).
Which would be infinitely disappointing. Particularly because it means we’d be getting yet another expansion-specific feature that will die as soon as the next X.0 patch hits. I’m so tired of the current model…
Maybe, but if you think about it, the magic that the dragons use is already largely covered by existing classes;
Black: Fire Mages, Destruction Locks, Elemental Shaman
Blue: Arcane Mages, Frost Mages
Bronze: Arcane Mages
Green: Druids
Red: Fire Mages
Which is why I think the only way you can pull a Dragonsworn class is have the player be a dragon like Chromie, Kalecgos, or Wrathion. If Blizzard isn’t willing to do that (and I don’t think they are), then I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a covenant-style system.
They failed so hard by not releasing necromancers with SL.
I think a bard class would be a huge hit. Another archer based class that can buff the group and be an elf??? How would that not have a huge playerbase right from the start?
Nailed that hard
That exists in FFXIV. It barely fits there. It simply would not here.
Yeah, it would have been interesting to see a Necromancer class focused on the power of Death and Domination rather than Undeath… but how does that play out mechanically? What would make a Necromancer unique instead of being a skin of Warlock?
I disagree. We will have World of Warcraft: Frozen princess and have alot of singing and dancing and then yep it will be thematic. We will even get a white haired ice princess singing about letting her past go, and even learning to love. Jaina is 3/4ths the way there as it is. I mean seriously…they even have similar hair styles

I mean yeah they even had Jaina singing already. It’s all but a certainty by now

Benefit of the doubt: Let’s say the next expansion is “World of WarCraft: ETCpalooza.” We have the setting. The musical theme of the class. Now… what is a Bard, mechanically? A support class, obviously. Therein lies the catch - there is no longer a support role in WoW.
Once upon a time, we (Shamans and Paladins) fulfilled that role. But our primary support role was gutted and anything useful was homogenized across multiple classes.
A Bard, mechanically, would be entering the game just as confused and muddled as Enhancement Shaman is a dozen or so years on after WoW moved away from the support role.
Only way I see that happening, is if Bard finds a way to increase everyones total DPS up by enough so where the two others are doing as much as 3 DPS would do. I kinda see a problem with that transcribing into raids
