Play what you want. I hated the idea of playing a paladin, but it turns out to be one of the funnest classes I liked to play gameplay wise.

Oh my god!
I mean yea I wonât be playing one but Iâd also like to not have to live with the fact that they exist, kinda like mechagnomes.
Also, I hate to be that guy but⌠*most fun
I had a gut feeling about bards.
I love my mechagnome. I wish they were horde, love the robot customization.
I wish they didnât exist. Opinions, I guess.
I have always wanted mechagnomes. The full robot options when that is what they were considered. I do hope they get full robot options in the next customization pass. That or fusing the gnome customization options with mechagnomes because alot of the cool hair and hairstyles were lost with the seperation.
Bard doesnât seem super interesting. Itâs not iconic, itâs not enthralling and it certainly isnât original. What would it add to WoW that WoW sorely needs?
I will agree that fully robot would have been better. At least they wouldnât look so freakishly alien that way. Still, a fully (or even partially) robot player character just doesnât tick at all with me. Canât stand the idea of a tinker class either. I can already smell the iron man larpers and they donât smell good.
We can get cloth/mail tank finally.
Thatâd be interesting if we still had class armor, but we donât, so again, it wonât really add anything.
I have some star wars transmog in mind for a mechagnome hunter. And if you play destiny they had robots that used to be people they are cool too.
Yea bards have always been odd at best and weird on average. I think that they would help to fill a role for mail tank, but I also think that a melee-mage would be a better way to fill that. Spellsword or something.
Destiny is a different atmosphere, it clicks there for me. Doesnât click in WoW. And I love star wars but man just go play swtor if you want to look like a jedi. Honestly swtor is a pretty good game.
I honestly donât know what direction the new class should be taken in. Maybe something that reflects Shadow Lands, that also isnât a Necromancer. Or, maybe something that reflects the original gods (I forget their names) or the void lords, I really donât know.
I would love a bard in WoW. I imagine itâd be like a DH with two specs, but damage and heals. A lot of channels like FoF instead of casts, and on-target CDs that could either work for you to be competitive solo, or help buff party members by sacrificing your own performance.
I like theorizing potential new classes and honestly necromancer fits well in my opinion. People always say that it steps on the toes of DK but I think thatâs a lame argument. By that standard priest and paladin step on each other, mage and warlock butt heads a little bit, etc. Necromancer would be a nice new magical pet class, and it could be themed around death as the ranged counterpart of the DK. I also think spellsword/melee-mage is cool, and I think that shaman should have a tank spec
I think the time to do it is now, probably more than ever.
They had a point until Sl came along, and Blizzard kind of reinvented the Necromancer. So, I donât see it as a problem, especially with all the new abilities and aesthetics that weâve seen with SL.
The thing is, in WoW, Necromancers and Necrolytes have always been treated as the poor manâs Lich or Warlock. Theyâre dabblers in the dark arts, mooks subject to a greater evil that they are unable or unwilling to equal.
Even the paragon of that class that Necromancer proponents are constantly holding high⌠his entire story is about his conversion to Lichdom since being a Necromancer is so low tier.
Just stop with the whole spellsword idea. We have this.
DK, DH, EnhShaman, these are all spellswords. Even survival hunter is nature spellsword lite.
Also NO MORE MELEE. at least for the next class.
