[News] The Winds of Wisdom 100% Experience Buff Extended!

Well, let’s see: since all of my toons are 120’s now, this is okay - great for the rest of you! Meanwhile, I still can’t fly! How about extending the reputation boost instead?

Yes, extend the rep buff!

But Rep grinding is Blizzards bread and butter to keep people in the game and playing… Can’t give it all away now.

I’m still counting the hours till this buff expires–for me this has kept me from playing anything but 120’s for 2 months. It’s great for those that want to level fast, but it should have a toggle ability. I want to explore the entire game with every character. I don’t want to level through outland (58-70) after completing Hellfire Peninsula and one instance. Its way too fast! I don’t want to create a level 1 tailor and be level 50 and I still haven’t found enough linen to start using wool. I get it. I’m the minority here. But it seems like such an easy fix to just offer a way for players such as myself to turn the option OFF so we can still enjoy the game.

Can I please turn off this damn buff? I just want to play the game normally my first time through, like cool its great for people with alts, good for them. I shouldn’t be level 20 or higher coming out of a starting area. Just let me opt in or out, I don’t want to have to wait until after Shadowlands releases to play the game to catch up.

well i did spend 16 hours a day for the last week grinding out rep that i was to lazy to get before…so thanks for wasting all that time and hard work bliz!

(am i doing this right!?)

Looks like the buff is still going. Strange.

Maybe they aren’t removing it after all?

This is the new normal. Leveling is getting even faster once Shadowlands hits.

Well that’s all around disappointing, the new norm sucks. I guess I’ll head to classic and hope they add some of the expansions.

Leveling is boring as hell though. Specially for those who have been playing a long time, and who have leveled many characters. It’s different from classic where leveling is the main event.

I’m not leveling just to level though, I’m trying to get into the lore and zone quest lines since it’s my first time through. And with them trying to zoom me through the zones it’s annoying as hell to do. Like I can appreciate doing this for people who have multiple characters but trying to learn the game when you have multiple new things being thrown at you before you leave the starting area is super annoying and a good way to ruin an experience of a new player.

If your only goal is to experience all the stories, how is leveling quicker in any way stopping you? Quests being Grey doesn’t mean you can’t do them. If you choose not to do them just because they don’t reward experience, then that’s on you, and your goal in no longer just to see the story.

Good thing is, once Shadowlands hits, you’ll be able to level all the way in one expansion set of zones. They made that change, partly, so you can experience a full expansion’s storyline each time you level a character.

No my goal is to see the story but I also want to be challenged a bit while doing it, and be mildly rewarded for my efforts. Like honestly just give me the option to opt in or out, or have a helm or ring, literally anything that negates xp while you have it on.

How does giving you less xp make it more challenging? Just run on foot everywhere if your only concern is to make it take longer. Maybe a better idea would be a “hardcore mode” of sorts, where everything is way harder, but you get rewarded more.

I suggest you turn off exp or do it all in max lvl.

Just making another “Please extend the Rep Buff” post.

I would buy a boost if this gets extended!

Unfortunately I can’t turn off exp all together I believe they took it out? I looked it up to see if it was a possible solution but the guy isn’t there.

He is stealthed

Thank you! Didn’t see him without name plates on XD Well at least that is a work around for me, still would be nice not having the buff or just turning it off but this will do. Thanks again!
