It is called “At the Bottom of the Sea”. It’s for the Horde.
It’s literally pitch black on your screen at some points.

I didn’t play enough Horde in BFA but thank you for this. Might have to look it up. Sounds kind of creepy
Sorry, the Bottom of the Sea was the campaign part. The exact quest is Deep Dive.
The Tower sounds exciting and refreshing. And the communication I’m seeing in this thread is stellar, too. Thanks Phaerix!
Anima Powers.
Lol.
but higher up you’ll be dealing with traps, puzzles, and locked doors that will require keys held by ruthless enemies.
Can rogue pick those locks?
By and large, your failures in Torghast are measured in deaths, not with a timer.
Deaths? So it’s not fully roguelike where every time you die you have to start all over from the bottom? Thank god! I mean thank you!
that corny old arcade Voice over? oh please that just ruin it if they lift lines form it It best to have Terragrue only roars and growls then corny monster that say them line
It like making Jason form firday 13 talk…
There monsters that work like Freddy Krueger logic if the monster shown to be Over powering if they have right actor to pull it off
but best to leave Some terror of the unknown be like Monsters
Like having silent hill monster voices to sing whistle while they work… I know stupid comic that dose that.
Unless they get good VA or actor like Robert Englund or some one along the line… Stephan Weyte would do.
I was about to argee with most thing but thing you have to bring up cheesy Music form FFXIV (Gross man real gross)
Music must not be cheesey have to be like death knight or how it was icecrown haunting or lest bad &$$Like this one…
So… Try this I’m sure this fit better then What ever sqaure and Allwaysblame Nomura pull out now a days.
Also leaving the monster timer… It be better then have nothing also, Terror We need terror.
No… no we don’t. If you want terror, go play a horror game.
I main a healer will I be useless in this solo as holy has no dps and will I even be wanted in a group? Or do I have to go shadow again to get anything done?
Details yet to come, but I would expect something like what they did in HVs where healers soloing get different scaling.
yeah the best fear is one that makes the people panic until they are unable to function rationally
So what You want another repeat of BFA with Ugly troll armor, extra sailor boys and purple sluge?
Yeah sure that fine… if you boring
This is shadowland realm of the dead I Know why Maw is should be fear like Broken Shore front before you reclaim it
Maw be boring I want feel like going into nightmare not emerald dream but red
Beside only best thing That was cool was that spooky house in waycrest manor and That was is, I could care less about the underrot
What was I rambling about… Oh yeah YES TO TERROR no to boring game play
I Don’t see the issue is, That the point hell it why dead by daylight is still going strong beside using copyright horror and stars.
I mean I would love a Maw monster that Hunt like this.
Ion has said there is a key requirement, because otherwise people would “feel like they have to practice it all the time.”
I do wish he would stop trying to mind read the hypothetical people that he invents in his own head.
Ideally, traversing the Maw should put is in a constant fog of war where we can’t see further than melee range in a 360 degree radius, with a waypoint on the map telling us where to go.
Add a timer of sorts, where Tarragrue style mobs get closer and closer to us the longer we doddle in the Maw instead of heading for Torghast.
Yes yes I love this I mean Also ablity like demon sight can’t help and make the mini map useless like have it spin and have mini map blank or have fog of war over it.
Tarragrue will be off-putting, and is a timer
Quite simply, this adds a survival horror element to Torghast that will make a LOT of people outright avoid the instance. This will unsettle and terrify a lot of people… heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if they either quit a run before it shows up or simply never do Torghast just avoid having a horrible monster appear behind them.
While it seems to be failsafe against repeatedly rezzing players and continuing on indefinitely (perhaps because of the well-deserved backlash due to attaching timers to Horrific Visions and Mythic+ dungeons),
Furthermore, Tarragrue is a TIMER … just one with a delayed onset. Once it’s in there, the clock is ticking and you have to hurry. Coupled with the survival horror element, this is going to make a LOT of players uncomfortable.
Quite frankly, an unceremonious booting out of the instance after running out of “vitality” sounds better.
You’re joking right? My girlfriend, who suffers from severe arachnophobia, isn’t frightened by even the silly cartoon styled spiders that jump out from their invis/stealth modes. I really doubt anyone who meets the PG-13 rating for the game is going to be concerned by this, it sounds like a complaint for complaints sake.
Additionally, it’s not a timer so much as it is an alternative win condition for the monsters that you must overcome. There may be ways to slow it down to not get to you, you could still finish the level, etc. That’s not a timer necessarily.

Also, if you don’t die, it doesn’t spawn. So while it may be something commonplace in the beginning, as players get better geared and better acquainted with the denizens of Torghast, they’ll die less and less, until they don’t need to worry about Tarragrue.
Mhmmmm I would say it trigger or could trigger if… mile and stretch here… 100 or 500 rooms you clear…
But that my Go on add more challenge
Yep, I think this is going to be a blast. Plus one thing I don’t like about the horrific visions is backtracking. This sounds like a linear tower that gets harder as you go instead of the way Orgrimmar is set up where left side has medium then hard, then right side has medium and hard and either way you wind up backtracking a little.
