One thing I’d love to see come back for Death Knights would be the Sludge Belcher Talent for Unholy only. I think that it would fit in great with the necromantic focus of Unholy that they’re going for and the Belcher was a really useful pet. Hope that they consider putting that absolute unit back in the game!
I don’t think so, but I mean she also does undeathy castery stuff though so I guess in a way that is another weapon she uses?
Now I’m more of a 2H kind of melee player, but even I’ll admit Survival not being able to dual weild when Rexxar does is stupid lol.
Yeah, I just feel like there is so much untapped potential in general, mostly related to how specs have been pigeon holed since MoP (when they truly separated the specs from the class with the new talent system).
Sure adding some spells back is fine, but again they are really looking at the current specs amd going “what fits this spec thematically that we can bring back?”
Which ultimately I fear will not make the specs feel more like a class as a whole but more just the same spec with an old ability returned.
Honestly I’d like to see something with a spec like Survival would be some sort of mechanic that encourages you to swap between ranged and melee, whether resource management or simply generating a buff when doing one type of damage that buffs your other form.
So you could be like shooting and kiting and stuff, then when you are happy you can use a gap closer that consumes your stacks of whatever which then buffs you melee damage for a time or for a certain number of ability uses.
So you would constantly be weaving between ranged and melee attacks, like taking the old melee weaving style of vanilla and adapting it to the newer game.
You’d be able to consume stacks at your own discretion (maybe they would be a cap so you couldn’t infinitely stack it lol), the cost would simply be you might not have access to your ability which activates the buff again for a little while.
But it would give access to an option for quick burst at the expense of a longer builder stage generating stacks following it.
Some specs still have Horn of Winter, although not the old style buff version.
Right, sorry - boomies have it is all.
That is what I desire, and what would be a good idea.
We should have more variety and more utility.
I know I see her wearing a sword on her hip, I just couldn’t remember if I’ve seen her using it. Seems like I have, but I’m unsure.
I’m still wondering if they’re gonna do some undead elf customization options like people have been asking for.
If so, it’d be neat, especially in an expansion around death, to have undead beasts (or even skeletons) be tamable.
Make the dire beast talent base line or an option for marksmen, and then add a glyph to turn it into Black Arrow, where it does the very same thing number-wise, but visually it shoots a black arrow and summons a skeleton.
Then people can make their dark rangers
unpruning? how about you bring back 1handed fury warriors?
i hate hate hate that i have to use 2handed weapons to play my fury warrior. i had high hopes that the unpruning that is shadowlands would bring this back. i guess not. i like all the changes thats coming but please bring 1handed fury back.
Blizzard please give wind walker monks Tigereye brew back it made the class so unique and fun Like this if you guys agree so blizzard can see it
There’s a npc in the DK order hall that will turn it into a Valkyr.
Enhancement Shamans, use to cast Rockbiter on main hand , pickup a shield and Tank. then use Earth shock as a taunt. Is this option coming back too for this expansion?
I like this “Dark Rangers” idea. I might take away from Death nights being the only masters of undead thou…
1h fury pretty please
Dual wield survival
2h Enhance
Warrior stances
Paladin seals
DK Presences
Hunter aspects
Allow revenge/non shield prot abilities to work if using a 2H/DW
Talent for prot warrior to use a 2h and shield
That’s pretty cool!
2 handed shaman please! It feels so bad to be passed up, while these other classes and specializations receive the treatment. The player base for those classes are praising you Blizzard! Please let us choose our weapons and play the way we want to, regardless of its dps, the choice is all we’re asking for! Warriors, Hunters, help us shamans, we are here to help you as well! We all want that player agency, Let blizzard know!
Meh, it’s something people have asked for a lot.
I play a DK quite a bit, and I’d have no issues with this.
More options for people to play as they want are good.
I want to voice my thought on the priest UN-pruning from a Holy Priest users’ perspective.
While getting some old damage dealing spells will be nice, why should I cast them?
Right now, I have synergies with smite and chastise, sure it boring but will mind blast do more damage than Chastise which also stuns mob when I hit them with it? I see little to no reason to waste a smite cool down on this for Mind Blast. I see no reason to use power word pain on world mobs when I can cast Holy Fire that also has synergies with Smite.
Shadow Word: Death had only one use for me back in the day Holy, and that was to hit me for damage so I could get my Pray of Mending off me and on someone else. But if we have all the giant absorption shields from our gear like we have had for the past few expansions the utility of this spell will be lost for me.
Mind Soothe, I will hold off judgment off till I see it in action. My luck with it was always hit or miss just depended on others spatial awareness.
While getting power infusion is nice and all, I am trying to keep people up not waste a GCD so a DPS can pad the damage charts.
I don’t need more damage abilities or healing abilities; I need utility to separate me from other healers and most importantly Survivability !
Feathers need to be baseline, I can’t think of a time I haven’t taken this vs whatever is in its talent row, to be honest I can’t even tell you what else is in this talent row.
If you want to give me an old spell give me Inner Fire, Fear ward, some reworked Divine Spirit or Shadow ward.
Yeah I think in general when they brought back all these raid buffs im BfA they should have done 2 versions of each so you could cover them if you didn’t have X class.
Like Paladins went from being the buff and utility class to literally providing the lowest utility due to only having a couple of very long cooldown, very niche abilities.
Classes like Warlocks, even Shaman, Rogues, Paladins, DKs etc don’t provide new value.
Warlock is cookies and maybe a summon amd a gate which noone will use, Shaman is literally just a Mage without the immunity, mage table, portal, and AI, Rogues have…tricks?, Paladins is a 5 min cd that probably won’t be needed as the only people taking physical damage are typically the tanks (and it causes an aggro drop), DKs get brez which is good, but so do druids who provide better utility through things like Mass entanglement.
I just feel they could have spread it out a bit instead of “sorry you don’t have an active DH in your guild? I guess you are going to just miss out on the 5% magic damage debuff”.
My guild legit didn’t have a Mage or a DH when I was playing Balance Druid in Uldir, I swapped to DH to give our guild the magic debuff in BoD and our Monk rerolled Warrior so we lost the physical attack debuff, in EP we still were missing a monk but finally got a mage for int, and then finally in Nya’lotha after getting a bunch of new recruits finally got to the stage where we have covered all the buffs as long as one person isn’t away (although our Monk tank is now unable to raid consistently so we need our healer to apply the debuff now)
Like why couldn’t Warlocks have the magic debuff as well like when they had curse of elements/curse of shadow? It makes sense thematically.
Why couldn’t dks have Horn of Winter again as a replacement to Battle Shout? Why could Rogue’s apply weakness to their targets with a physical damage debuff? (pretty rogues in beta intially had the physical damage debuff until it was given to monks)
Heck why couldn’t Shaman simply get a choice between totems to apply any one of the three?
And to be honest on that point I wouldn’t even be disappointed if Paladins had their current blessing of kings and wisdom replaced with might, kings, and wisdom simply as replacement versions of AI, fort, and battle shout so you simply fill a missing buff per paladin.
SW:D is a great addition for all Priests in PvP, the damage is delayed so you can use it as a CC break if you are getting polymorphed or if you predict a blind etc. It’s actually super cool in PvP.
Mind Soothe is nice but very situational, not sure I can imagine much use in the modern game except for looting quest items near mobs?
In classic it’s more useful, seen some amazing priests force skips and stop patrols from pulling with Mind Soothe, it’s really impressive to see.
I think it will only see use if it allows for some cool pathing options in M+ for groups with a priest, if that’s a case it might be pretty useful and neat.
Something I’d really like to see is having Unholy death knights summon the single undead minion they’ve always had, maybe 2 with the talent…but Army of the Dead and Apocalypse being changed to the damned souls from the runeblade.
Rename Army to Wails of the Damned.
Then add a proper Necromancer class. There’s some fantastic proposed class ideas on MMO-champ.
Then for players to be able to play as they want, just have a glyph that allows a DK to switch the spirits back into the current undead if they prefer that.
Arthas did summon both. He’d raise dead and then summon spirits from his blade.
Having the spirits baseline would set it a little apart from a proper Necromancer. The option to restore it to the previous version would just be something to make people happy.
so wait they are bringing back the eclipse bar again is that what’s happening.
