Newb question.. recent resubb. layering?

When it’s raid night and you go to raid and 14 other raid groups are also in the same raid, but you only see YOUR raid group, you never thought to be like “Wtf where is is everyone else? I know other people are raiding this place but where ARE they?! This isn’t like real life!”

Separating people with instancing is not a new concept in WoW. We’ve been experiencing it since our first trip into a dungeon or battleground.

edit ftr I do think that’s a really interesting point of view.

One example: I see someone saying “WTS [Lv10 Green Item]” in trade chat.
I respond" I’ll buy that".
He Tells me “I’m in front of the bank”.
I have to mention “No, I’m in front of the bank I don’t see you”.

Then we have to leave our groups and group together to join the same layer. I suppose I could have mailed it to him. The situation didn’t seem much like the original WoW. It reminded me more of the launch of ESO.

Crazy concept, but not everyone thinks there was a major problem with BfA.

We’re all aware that there’s such a thing as idiots…

On the first stress test. I was midfight and layer shifted. The wolf I was fighting disappeared, 2 more mobs phased in and I then had to fight them as they were both aggressive.

That is something that could happen but shouldn’t happen. Blizzard has been semi clear on how they want it to work and you shouldn’t shift like that once it’s live. I haven’t had that happen on any test since.

Lol no, I was around during the coverage and Blizzard say saying the Legion Events would be the first look at their new sharding tech that would also make the launch smoother. I did not make any videos.

I mean I’m barely a casual at best.

But this xpac has driven almost my entire friend list away. All 45 people I used to do mythics and wpvp with only like 5 are left and they play once a week like I do.

I’d say that, from my perspective, this xpac has been garbage. Only thing that’s been good is the art department carrying the game.

Besides that the azerite grind to unlock the super new Glyph-o-rama system and use items that we aquire, but can’t use until you have sucked off enough azerite nodes.

Yea BfA has been a blast lawl.

That’s not really that relevant as such. You actually don’t know if its a CI or HCI system at all, since we have limited information on the actual work unit processors.

We know that the Realm concept is independent from the hardware units that support all realms.

i have now see this. i went after a mining node… and when i got there. it was invalid… odd.

The idea behind layering is also important. It is being implemented as a way to prevent servers from dying in a year or so win groups of people leave for other things.

Blizzard will simply remove one layer at a time as numbers of slowly drop
