Arathi Ear Customizations for Humans and Kul Tiran
Humans and Kul Tiran will gain new Arathi ear customizations. Head over to the Barber Shop to change up your appEARance.
I will never understand Blizzard’s obsession with pirates.
Also, this island was teased in 11.0.5: https://www.wowhead.com/news/dornogal-gossip-in-11-0-5-hints-at-upcoming-patch-content-347623
Pirates are cool? I mean we have an entire day about them.
We used to have epic cutscenes for patches.
sigh
the what? I thought we were going inside beledar or undermine or something
i smell FILLER
This is just a minor patch though. It’s not like this is 11.1.
I dont think filler is the right word. Well no more filler then say Forbidden Reach. Regardless, this seems like a good chunk of content for .7 patch.
My first thought on seeing this: “Huh, I guess we’re getting a beach episode?”
The known quests will be
- The Fate of the Kirin Tor. Delve into the aftermath of Dalaran’s fall in The War Within epilogue questline—the Kirin Tor must confront their past mistakes and decide on the future course of their people.
- Story Prologue for the 11.1 Campaign. Continue the story of The War Within and uncover a familiar face in the darkness.
Please be my Queen Azshara (Probably not, but I’ll always hope.)
I always love seeing Naga, Vrykul are cool. Pirates are meh. Otherwise, feels a bit like holdover content until a major patch, but looks alright. I’m excited for anything to do with Goblins.
Oh, well.
A good point.
So the zone is actually a scrapped Island Expedition map that’s been sitting unused in the files since BfA.
(presumably this is why the lore for it mentioned in the video is it was a Kul Tiran azerite mine during the Fourth War)
I like that because the less time they spend making the zone from scratch, the longer they can spend on other things.
This puts paid to any speculation that the Arathi are going to be a new player race. The customization options make more sense.
And with the Kul Tiran option, Glorfindel cosplayers can rejoice.
So the chubs can get pointy ears?
Good for them.
Being Kul Titan must require ….more…. despite the space they occupy
was hoping for some horde content in the upcoming patches, especially thrall and his elemental issues being resolved.
Guess have to wait and see for the next one.
I caught some Wyverns here and there… I hope this new zone has some cool, solid lore and isn’t just a permanent Island Expedition that’s all about gameplay (I’m saying this cuz I’m getting some Forbidden Reach vibes from it lol). The layout and design choices seem nice, it does fit what an island off the coast of Kalimdor should look like.
Since we’ve seen him without issues and even serving as a mentor, I think they dropped him having elemental issues.
A Song of the Depths makes it clear that everything that happened was for Azshara’s benefit: Azshara immediately noticed how the Rage filling the Black Blood could serve her ends.
Xal’atath was also apparently dense enough to inform Azshara of every possible Dark Heart giving Azshara the info needed to make Xal’atath the pawn instead of herself or so she thinks…
Azshara thinks that things between her and Xal’atath will go the same as Xal’atath and Ansurek until she finds herself gouging her eyes out and becomes the Blind Queen wielding a Scepter of Bone making her the Ansurek not Xal’atath who remains the Xal’atath of the encounter…
Azshara will become the Crooked Serpent with no Eyes who watches from the endless sky as an Emerald Dawn happens as she turns Beledar Green with Galakrond’s Necrotic Death Magic.
Remember how Azshara’s Cultists go on about how they sleep only to awake(https://warcraft.wiki.gg/wiki/Abyssal_Corruptor
)? The Stained Pamphlet mentions that the veil between Dream and Dreamer slides away like skin from bone… What does this all mean?
Is the 3rd Eye in Azshara’s head the Eye of something inside Beledar? Xe’ra a being of the Light once attributed importance to Illidan’s Amber Eyes and an Elder Naaru claims Illidan is a Champion of the Light regardless of what he decides so do Azshara’s Amber Eyes originate from the Light with the 3rd Eye being the source of Azshara’s Amber Eyes?
Is Azshara’s 3rd Eye a similar entity to Xal’atath an Eye once bound to a Dagger? Does Illidan have one too?
Not as of the Kosh’harg, and I’ve seen nothing to indicate (in-game) that has changed.
