But we want balance:
For x amount of years: “Warcraft” was about battle / war. Ratio: War 95% to Char Depth 5%.
Now the ratio of character development to war is swung the opposite way: 5 percent war to 95 percent character depth.
It’s a fair paradigm shift in story-telling than how things were before.
Analogy from my childhood. There were a lot of marketed to “boys” “girls” tv shows in the 80’s: GI Joe (a boys show) / My Little Pony (a girls show). If you take GI Joe and transplant the ponies into the show with the ponies running the show primarily and Sgt Slaughter just sitting on the sidelines for most of the show - Would feel a bit jarring?
Kinda what it feels like in this game right now.
Its fine for boys to like ponies and girls to like GI Joe. We are all here to have a good time and enjoy what you like. Its just different and feels lacking than what we had before. Wish we had some more GI Joe moments than Ponies moments lately.

My general feeling about this is the same as in real life:
-I’m not overly upset about it
-Denying it’s being done is intentionally obtuse
I actually chat to my non-wow friends about it and we’ve been having a good laugh about Faerin, who I kinda like. But at the same time, it’s like “Just how many boxes did you try to check in one character”
