Well sure, minor unvoiced storylines present women in a normal manner, ranging from hyper competent to incompetent and stupid. The main storyline and important voiced quests were female dominated this xpac though.
My guess is the people in charge of making side quests aren’t really being lorded over as much. Kinda like how Genshin Impact presents a really Disney-esque storyline for the main quests, but really dark stuff can happen in the side quests if you actually pay attention.
The issue is, the primary content people will remember is pretty heavily skewed in favor of women, at the expense of their male counterparts who are portrayed as incompetent (Baelgrim), emasculated (Magni), arrogant (Eirich), or weak (Anduin/Khadgar).
You can build up characters like Brinthe, Moira, or Xal’atath without tearing down every man in sight around them. Like, that is possible to do.
