New UI doomers

Yea, that’s probably the most reasonable thing to do, leave the option open to have the old UI… most people tend to not like change and seem to being angered or afraid of it.

Calling people names is inappropriate.

For you.

Good for you

Being antagonizing is inappropriate.

Ageism is inappropriate.

Being condescending is inappropriate.

Why? Just don’t want people to have the option to have the classic UI?

Seems unreasonable.

Opinion.

That has nothing to do with it.

Agree

I’m super casual so it really was doom for like an hour. Now it’s in the past. Like everything else, stick with it, it gets better.

The new UI disrespects me as a person.

the funniest part is how theyre the ones talking about having to set up bartender, etc…which isnt any easier than this is. lol.
pretty easy set up and while some could argue the minimap and bag bar needs to be able to be size adjusted, there isnt anything wrong with the UI now that hinders anyones game in the least.

WOW. I had mine set up in 10 minutes or less on beta.

they’ll very likely change that now that they know its a complaint.

that they should have done. Maybe theyll do that too.

looks fine to me.

Agreed. Is the UI totally good? No but it does take care of a few things that allow me to drop a few addons.
The frame units are not as complete as I would like so I will roll with some of my old standbys.

The summon Demon for Warlocks and teleport for Mages bugs a lot to where one has to go into the spell book to use them.

Sure it isn’t perfect but it is a big step in the right direction and I personally find some facets of the new UI very useful.

If they roll out WoW 2 one day, it would have a new ui that you’d have to learn.

Gaslighting people’s mental health to the point of perpetuating internalized ableism is just dripping all over this thread.

WoW is not Final Fantasy folx. So let’s stop trying to make it into it.

It’s not a slap in the face. Dear lord

The buttons are in the same spots. They have smaller frames on them but thats it. You have little gryphons on the side still. My lord you people are unbearable.

How low of a life expectation do you have that a game UI just upsets the applecart???

I feel like they should have made a template that was the default of what ppl are used to, while not changing anything about the ability to edit features like you can presently.

I think it freeked ppl out at first and ppl panicked a bit.

I was able to set it up pretty quickly however I did have an opportunity to do so some time back on the beta.

also, incase you dont know you only need set it up once.
set it up and get it just right under edit
Layout> new layout > name it something> save
then you simply change to new character
edit>layout> your saved lay out is on the top
click it and your are done

I am literally the foulest, most obnoxious hate filled player on this forum lmao. ive been suspended so many times over my Ion hate that Ive lost count
And even I can be an adult and admit this UI change is VERY EASY and overly useful.
But then, I actually spent a few minutes learning about and and working with it. Unlike some alts in here, probably 3 people posting on new characters, I didnt start screeching without giving it a chance.

Don’t tell me what to do.

Now that is out of the way, The only 2 things I like about it is yes the reduction of addons since they decided to cover most of them and the simple customization built into it, still lacking yes but overall good job. BIG Dislike is the removal of the classic artstyle into this ugly cartooning fruitloop art style of the borders and dragon art. I would like the old style back as and option built into it.

Especially after expanding the main menu bar in scale only for ALL UI to balloon and take up half the screen with it…

oversights like these are why they need internal testing.

I think the new UI is rad. No complaints for me, but I do understand people having a hard time transitioning. It was after all over a decade of the same UI.

have you tried scaling things down?
My action bars are 70 or 80% size

You CAN’T, scale one thing down they ALL scale down, now imagine the headache for people who just need the microscopic main menu and tracking scaled up cause of accessibility issues like eyesight? There’s a ton of ableism in this thread, and it’s kinda sickening.

Some pieces can be scaled individually, like the ability bars.

the action bars?
yeah…just click in each bar and a panel will come up and you use the slider to reduce the size of THAT bar alone
