In (lfg chat) raiders require 2k or 3k minimum bid. I have 10k in the bank, but I was whispered that normal bids are expected to go as high as 50k. What is a reasonable gdkp bid?
[in case you haven’t guessed, i’ve never been in a gdkp raid.]

I’d recommend that you have a look at the GDKP rules. They often have different rules. Generally speaking, I’d feel more comfortable joining a GDKP run that had a history in discord of bids and payouts, and some requirements over something advertised in trade chat, but I’ve had good experiences with both kinds, so…
Anyway, let’s say there’s a 2k min. bid on items and you are required to bid on items that are upgrades for you (if that’s a rule of the GDKP, which it often doesn’t seem to be these days anyway), then feel free to bid 2k, or 2.5k, etc. and stop bidding if someone outbids you and you don’t really want that item anyway.
Also, depending on the GDKP rules, you may still get a raider’s cut at the end of the run, the same as everyone else.
Some GDKPs have bonuses for tanks, top healers, top dps, etc. Some required green or better parses for a cut, and some are very lenient and just give an equal share to all involved. Organizer cuts also seem to range from 10%-20% typically.
Best of luck to you!
Like Snipy said if youre interested in GDKPs reaearch your servers GDKP discords and look at the rules and bid histories. Not all of them operate the same and wont require you to bid on upgrades just because they are upgrades.
