Witch Doctors don’t commune at all with the elements, its death, shadow magic, deals with Loas, if anything they are a combo of shadow priests and warlocks, the only thing shaman like being ritualistic like totems that deal with again loas and spirit type magics not with the elements

Yeah they are pretty awesome. They have the heal to damage conversion mechanic too which I absolutely adore (hence, mistweaver + disc priest player lol). For a tinker you might do something like Commando in SWTOR where you shoot to heal people, or something along hte lines of wildstar’s spellslinger. Wildstar had the medic which might also be a pretty neat addition to the healer styles out there. PBAOEs.

Yeah, Wildstars medic really reminds me of the evokers with the holding down style of gameplay to heal. I healed as BH and trooper in swtor, love the whole idea of tech healing
