New Tier 3 crafting costs 2.8 million gold just for vendor mats + whatever crafters charge you

Raiding sure.

My bad, I meant JC. Literally all of the other info is accurate dude. You can’t actually try to dismiss my point just because I misnamed the profession.

??? most stuff from the vanilla/BC era looks like trash these days, and the pally armor in particular just looks… bad…

its literally a recolor of t7 naxx from wrath of the lich king… its honestly only if you want that color scheme.

it is not surprising people are crying. being offended or not getting it the way they want will lead to it.

I do believe they give you the appearance for the class you use the item on, but the items themselves are not class locked and the items to craft the gear are BOA, can just use it on an alt warlock and have the appearance on your priest

Not quite, T7 obviously drew strong inspiration from T3 but there are differences.

Yeah someone mentioned that might be the case further down the thread.

I’ll wait and see if anyone confirms it before I get too invested in this, if that’s even enough with that ridiculous price tag.

People before: “Just give it to everybody for freee, because it’s sooo iconic and I really want it, like… right now!”
People now that it costs 2.8M: “Pfhhh, this stuff is ugly AF anyway”

Y’all got this all wrong.

This is the current, ultimate Luxury poser set.

The hoops that have to be jumped through right now to get this set is pretty huge.

The money to buy the mats is one thing, but finding a crafter is something completely different.

And the folks who got this originally, I mean, how many had Naxx on farm back in the day? Naxx was notorious for being the “l33t of the l33t”. Or for those those farmed the set through the BMAH over the years.

And how many of those people still actually play?

And how many were Tailors/Leatherworker/Blacksmiths/etc.?

Getting this set is going to be an accomplishment even for the already gold wealthy. And we’re looking at $200 or more in tokens if someone just wants to buy it outright, much less paying the crafter, much less FINDING a crafter.

It’s ok to have “status” items in the game, even those that are just from filthy lucre.

This part feels like a push to keep promoting the new crafting work order system.

To be fair, Nax was quite the challenge before TBC launched, but yeah, any real “flex” was removed the moment the sets were added to the BMAH.

Curious. Lets say I bought the 2.8m worth of materials to make a set. Could I actually make it or would I still have to find someone who did the bmah or vanilla crafter?

Or could I make them myself and make the gold back through crafting?

You still have to find someone with the full T3 achievement.

You literally cannot make the materials to make T3 without it.

In order to change the Lamented armor token to a Cursed armor token, you need a recipe that only people with the Feat of Strength - Drop Dead Gorgeous - can purchase. Meaning, these people already have a full set of T3.

The Cursed armor tokens are combined with the phylacterweave and righteous orbs to become a piece of T3.

Ah. So you need 2.8m plus the expected fees these people will want to make them. So probably another million or more since it will be people at gold cap who will be controlling the market as long as possible

Ugh, seriously? I have all but the bracers. Time to start stalking the BMAH on all the servers…

Pretty much. Good luck finding someone on your server who even has a full set of T3. Maybe on the more populated servers you’d have some luck, but a low pop server is going to be hard. And when you do find someone, cross your fingers they went through all the hoops to even unlock the vendor to purchase the recipes in the first; and is willing to make it at a reasonable price.

Oh, and the Cursed Armor tokens are BOA (bind-on-account), so you have to use a Crafting Order to get them from the crafter.

Thankfully those sets look absolutely terrible.

I was hoping that unlocking the old Naxxramas would be the hard part, and then the player would be free to run it over and over every week like any other old raid for a low chance at the drops.

I can make them for you. I do think including the crafting part was unnecessary.

Also, crafting orders should be realm wide!

You’d think so, but Blizzard decided they had to appease a handful of auction house goblins that whined about spending millions of gold at the BMAH to get their sets. So now we get this convoluted crafting system that came with a Feat of Strength requirement tacked on at the end.
