It's time to allow betting in BG/arena... cough cough maybe even Wintergrasp?... We can start small with a simple system allowing daily/weekly bets for your own faction. The faction with the most wins in a given day/week wins. The pot will be divided up between all players that have played at least 4(daily)/10(weekly) games.
This is very simple system to encourage everyone to, not only participate in PVP, but play to win in BGs.
I would bet on losses and sabotage my team.

On occasion I’ll realize that I’d make a terrible game developer. Today is one of those days.
At first I was like “Hey, yea, it would be fun if we could bet on who wins or loses while we’re all in the waiting room area!” But then I realized that it would be even more fun to bet on who gets the most killing blows or whatever.
And by whatever, I really meant highest deaths. When I got to that point I couldn’t stop laughing, because an entire battleground betting on one poor soul to get the most deaths and then working assiduously towards that just seems ridiculously Kafkaesque.
The threads complaining about it would be, uhm, a sight.
