Do we get this mount if we’re currently on a 6-month subscription or not? I bought a 6-month subscription back in June.
“ If you’re currently on a 6-month recurring subscription with a future renewal date, you’ll receive the Steamscale Incinerator as a gift in your Battle.net desktop app at no additional charge no later than July 20, 2020.”
Thank you, finally answered my burning question.
So even though I have a 6 month sub all the way till Dec, I won’t be eligible since I turned off auto renew?
Correct. You have to have an active subscription, not just active game time.
That’s really disappointing if that is the case. I paid for a sub the same as everyone else; I just chose to turn off auto renew since times are uncertain with everything going that’s going on when it comes to finances and work.
Just because I turned off the auto renew that shouldn’t make my sub less valuable
It doesn’t make it less valuable. I’m on a 3 month sub and also don’t qualify. People who have paid for over a year of game time with tokens also don’t qualify.
Promotions like this simply have requirements. The requirement for this one is an active 6-month reoccurring subscription.
It should work like the previous promotion, Chaosaul, so that should be accurate. You need to have an active recurring subscription in order to qualify for the mount to be gifted to the account.
Thank you for the response, disappointing as I turned of auto renew literally just a few days ago on Sunday I believe
No mount for me then I guess
You can just get the mount stand lone. It’s right under the six month tab. https://us.shop.battle.net/en-us/product/world-of-warcraft-mount-steamscale-incinerator
Thanks for this, I am aware I could just go buy it, but I was hoping to grab it since I currently have a 6 month sub.
Since I’m not eligible I just won’t be getting the mount as I personally don’t feel mounts are worth $32 CAD (No offense to anyone who does think it’s worth it! Just isn’t to me personally!)
Why isn’t there a way to toggle back on the auto renew? Can we contact support to have this done? Or can we cancel the sub and resub? Surely there must be something that can be done besides forcing those of us who JUST bought a 6 month sub to miss out on this promotion or buy ANOTHER 6 months on top of the 6 we already have.
Sorry Tolna but buying a mount for $25 that we should have gotten for free is not the right solution if Blizzard cares about their customers.
The other option is to just buy the mount. No, GMs are not going to be able to toggle your account subscription on for you.
As I mentioned before, this is simply a matter of whether or not you had an active subscription, not paid game time.
I’m sure those who paid with token also wish they qualified. Or people like me who have been on the 3-month sub for a couple of years now. But I simply don’t meet the criteria. It’s just a mount though, so I’m not that worried about it.
Blizz is under no obligation to do this request for folks, given the fact that other folks in past promos who didn’t fit in the needed rules to get whatever mount at the time. There isn’t a way to walk one’s way into getting something. No one is forced to get the mount. No one made anyone turn off their auto renew on their 6 month.
To be fair you are right. Blizzard has no obligation to give the mount out to those who have a 6 month sub but have turned off auto renew. However the way this is set up is honestly pretty scummy.
Auto renew is supposed to be a QOL feature that a customer can have on to streamline keeping a sub active; but instead here’s a company saying you don’t get cool stuff unless you leave it on. The only difference between my sub and someone who gets the mount is that they have auto renew on; I paid money for mine with a credit card just like they did (since balance doesn’t work), however because I turned off auto renew I’m no longer eligible. Really the only reason for a company to require Auto renew to be on for a promotion like this is for the hope that people will forget to turn it off and accidentally sub for another extra 6 months; which again, is kind of a scummy thing.
Alright, I think that’s about enough. Thanks all.
