New Specs (No More Classes)

I whole heartedly agree with this

No.New.Classes.Or Specs.

The game has shi t balance as it is, just because you dont do anything that balance matters doesnt mean they have to screw up the game even more. Stop asking that.

I kind of agree. Maybe recalibrate the warlock’s fire abilities into frost, since necromancers dig the cool stuff.
Imps could become, I dunno, those Floating Skulls! Voidwalkers, Skeletal Warriors from the RTS, or half-assed Abominations (the Demonology reskin, “Fleshcrafters” or summat, would get full-fledged Abominations) or maybe Wights (like Barthilas!). Incubus/Succubus turns into Banshees or just ghosts who scare people stiff instead of flirting with them. Felpuppies could become, umm… Darkhounds, I guess (with the interrupt turning into a really sharp and hurty bite, or a smack)?
Uh-oh, now you’ve got the hamster in my head working! What have you done?!

And Bards could just be like… any member of a class who can carry a tune? I know D&D made them into something cool and special and unique, but to me they’re always second-banana at any role they can do (OE’s bards from Strategic Review and AD&D2E’s “Not Quite a Fighter-Not Quite a Mage-Not Quite a Thief” bards come to mind). I mean, hell, one RP guild I was in insisted that my Mage was a bard because she read history books.
Maybe give peope a “Bard” skin for their character? It might be tricky to implement, but I feel like it’d satisfy a lot of people.

I’ve wanted a melee mage since the 1st time I stepped into Stratholme in 2005.

I am inclined to think necromancer would make a Warlock spec, because it was warlocks that made the first DKs and raised a few dead guys.
At the very least, give warlocks the option to make their spells work exactly like their current specs, but instead recolor them to more necromancer-like. Replace the demons with dead equivalents. Example: replace the felhound with an undead dog, make shadowbolt look like death coil, but the pet and spell still work exactly like the original.

Same for making hunters look like tinkers or rogues look like bards. Not true specs, but new flare to the current spells, abilities and pets.

Thaaat would be cool. As. HELL. I know everyone seems to dislike a lot of the now-irrelevant and retconned RPG lore, but that Durthos Boneshod guy from Lands of Conflict would be a cool candidate for a loreportant warmage guy. He was a fighter and a sorcerer.

I could get behind them adding pistols to the game and the ability to dual wield them. Could even do a pistol wielding thing for rogues and I mean more so than their pirate spec does

Remove the pistol from the Outlaw spec.

Better yet add pistols and give Outlaw spec bonuses for using them

New specs are essentially new classes because of how specs are designed just saying.

Yes thank you.

We need a technology-based class due to certain races not being able to play their racial lore. Also a new mail armor class would help balance the gear sets and give Shaman and Hunters equal transmog options to their peers. I’d hesitate saying we should have no more classes.

We need quad wielding. Each arm sports a mechagnome fury warrior. Imagine the bladestorms. It’d be like General Grievious meets WoW.
