Tested the ring in raid as a healer and it’s only 2.5% of my healing.
Pretty much.
It would seem that it’s a combo of some of the good stones not being available yet, and (i think) some of the last minute hotfix buffs weren’t pushed to live.

Is it the sims or the ring?
Anyone who uses sims regularly know that certain items can’t be accurately simmed.
As of right now, the ring is just 1/3 the stats of a normal ring, with an undertuned damage and healing proc.
ring should be better right off the bat and then get upgraded over time to be insane, assuming the goal is to make the ring do a lot of damage or whatever so its fun.
So day 1 deals basically?
I want to say they announced buffs to it, then just didn’t ship them.
I mean they boosted the item level. It’s clearly buffed but having 2 of the 3 gems be mediocre and one be useless makes it bad.
Well Ion did just say that they tend to start off conservative and can buff as they see the need. He was talking about the bronze tokens, but I think it would apply towards an item like this.
He pointed out they can’t take things away from players, so they tend to start low and buff up.
I’m not saying it’s a good idea. Personally I wished they would pay attention to the PTR testers who tell the devs problems exist and don’t do anything about it for 3 months later.
I’m saying it is what it is. I imagine they will give it some buffs. Will it be too little too late? That’s the more important question.

I mean, there’s really only one reason to have this ring and that’s to unlock flying in 6 weeks.
i guess you werent around during the forbidden reach content of dragonflight. At first, yes the ring will suck. But by season 2 its going to be bis for almost everyone.
This ring is the equivalent of putting an iPad in front of a toddler while you wait for the chicken nuggets and fries to show up.

As people mentioned, we don’t have access to all of the gems currently, several of which are likely to be the strongest for many specs. Once those are obtainable, the rings should be strong.
Haven’t logged in for a few weeks, thanks for letting me know it’s not worth logging in for the next couple weeks as well
