I ain’t gonna lose 6% mastery for some stamina and a “dps” effect that in actuality lowers my dps.

Do not use it. Vendor or destroy it.
trinkets are not the forefront of what this patch is. They advertised a ring that would be = to a ring of heroic caliber of s2.
what we got is a gated ring, even with its gems is less budgeted statswise, than a 619 ring

Thats the thing blizzard needs to understand tbh.
As a class/spec that lives or dies by its secondaries (ret) this ring is a downgrade atm.
Atleast the gems will eventually make it a upgrade… in a month… at the end of the season…
I actually took a look to see what I wrote about it at the time.
There are zero gem combinations that are relevant for Shadow Priest. The Single Target setup is Desirous Blood Stone Desirous Blood Stone, Prophetic Twilight Stone Prophetic Twilight Stone and Freezing Ice Stone Freezing Ice Stone. This setup is comparable to a roughly 405 item level ring with optimal stats and a socket, meaning that you are very likely to replace your Annulet at the beginning of patch 10.1, if you were using it at all.
For Shadow Priest, any other combination of stones is a DPS loss compared to a well itemized 370-390 ring depending on if you’re looking for AoE or Single Target. Shadow also depends heavily on secondary stats for both damage and gameplay feel, so without sufficient haste from your other items you may not find the ring to be an upgrade in any scenario.
Max ilvl at the time was 421 on rings, as I recall?

I think thats correct, but alots happened since then and i forgot xD.
421 regular item, 418 crafted, 424 on the broodkeeper ring maybe?

418 (heroic) and 430 (mythic) for Seal of Filial Duty. The Annulet was no good on my warlock I remember. I just used the 418 Seal and a crafted ring that season.
Ah seal was EVEN higher than end boss loot, you’re right.
So far it reduced my dps by over 350K
It will get better in week 5 . Blizzard made sure of that.
The ring is very underwhelming. They should let you apply a missive to it, and then add the gems as needed. It just seem boring as it is.
Pretty bad when dps drops by over 350K and ilvl also dropped by 35 points
I’m not mad at it. Sure it seems less but it’s not my only piece of gear that sims less than what I have in my bag. I’ve been sporting a LFR Rasha’nan cloak because it gives me a little bit more survivability than the heroic raid cloak I have in my bags. Not exactly excited about the healing gem, but if it helps my little raid group out I’ll take it.
They never learn… until people start mass unsubbing.
