minutes? you mean hours lul
No “low” servers so I chose a “medium” more than three hours now and “estimated time: 155 min”.
So I guess that is stated in minutes, but it still adds up to “I won’t be playing”.

hardly, it was full in less than an hour after the new server being lanched, where you getting hours from?
Transfers to Neverland realm XD
yeah layering is going away right…
Blizzard… This is beyond ridiculous and you know it. Just open a bunch of new servers, merge them when they get too low pop. You have the funds and resources to do this, you have zero reason NOT to. What’s the worst problem from this solution? Oh, a few cry babies lose their names, SO WHAT?!
This is damaging your reputation even more then you did with the last 5 expansions.
This still doesn’t address the server population problems as all servers are full with ques. Your going to lose base because people will get sick of waiting 2+ hours to try and login especially if they have limited play time. they will go elsewhere and people who play with them will follow. add that to normal attrition and in 2 months will have dead servers and people will quit rather than pay to transfer because of a problem blizzard created. You allowed people to reserve names yet didn’t see the problem in advance I and most intelligent people out there are calling bull. as it is if the waits continue your going to lose more subs than classic brought back!! Adding more servers is just a bandaid thats going to bleed subs later when ripped off because populations die back and the rush is gone.
There are solutions and its going to take more than a blue post every 24 hrs to keep people interested when THEY CAN"T PLAY!!
There are too many free servers available out there for players to put up with these que times!! Classic was a great move if it had been done right but this kinda fail in the crucial first few days is going to pose a hefty cost in subs if not fixed.
Blizz all realms full your move I suggest add more layering or expand the servers. Needless to say you failed.
World of Watching Ques. They fear people will leave the game but by having such massive ques people are going to feel behind and pass on classic…
he said it because majority of the time you will be in queue 18432 and it will say 13 minutes, me and my friends got one when we were in queue position 25000’s and its said <1 minutes
Hadn’t seen that, didn’t understand his post.
Please explain why there even has to be a queue. If the layering system is supposed to spin up a completely new world as population density increases, why then is there even a need for long queue time? Shouldn’t the World of Warcraft Servers see that there are ex. 8000 people in queue and generate a new layer or two specifically for those players, while simultaneously shunting them there? I find it hard to believe that you don’t have the hardware in place to spin up enough virtual servers to handle the connection requests.
Just add more layers. I think we would ALL rather have that than an un-playable game.
Im beginning to think they WANT Classic to fail… Fans have been asking for it for years only to be told nope not gonna happen. If it succeeds then they have to explain why they waited so long. If it fails they get to say " told you so. this is why we didn’t want classic"
There’s gotta be at least 70-100k+ players sitting in queues at any given time even relatively near prime hours. How is this considered OK and how long do you expect people to stay around before the “tourists” to leave and the queue times die down? I would guess that people would give the game a good month or more on average people they start shedding off and playing something else or playing this much less frequently.
I know this is anecdotal but the wait time is longer than my window to even play the game. (Likely the case for many others)
What a reactive approach. If Blizzard was more proactive there wouldn’t be this mess. I’m sure they had statistical information to tell how many people there would be. They even had pre-register so to speak as thousands logged in to secure their names. All this information at their fingertips that seems to have been ignored. This is all about profits make no mistake. Do they really care about player experience? Maybe 1/4 while the other 3/4 is all about profits and seeing how little they can do to keep as many as they can. The last time I really got into wow was burning crusades and a little of wrath of the lich king. I got up to Mists and only played it a handful of times. So much disappointment I may request cash back and move on with my life and just remember how WoW used to be. It was a lot of fun and not sure if it will ever be what it was.
That made me chuckle
They can’t do this because when the remove layering in Phase 2, you’re not stuck with an over populated realm. You have to cap it close to what you think the ultimate max pop should be.
Layering is just there to help with this unique situation where *everyone is starting at the same time, and competing over the same resources. As time goes on, the population will be more distributed among the world and you won’t need layering.
That said, this is still a pretty terrible situation, with no good answers
Maybe they could merge some of the low density Battle for Azeroth servers (say the ones that have 1 k to 2 k players) and give the remainder servers to WoW Classic.
Really only need 2 server pop levels:
fix it blizz this is bullsh$t
