New Realm Connections are Underway

Try logging out of the forums and back in again. I also had that issue about six weeks ago.

Since many quit over BFA thats the best solution , are u ready for a larger realm connection with S.L. ?

I doubt they are considering due to connecting more realms. The realms they have connected so far have pretty low populations. Even after the new connections they pale in comparison to population of the super large servers, and Bliz has not raised the guild cap for those servers.

I can see an argument to be made to raise the cap in general, but it wonā€™t be because of the new connections.

All good things must come to an end, eh? Iā€™m going to miss my low-pop world.

You spend way too much time on the forums if you can name any realm notorious for either of those things.

Something strange is going on. I went to check something on an alt on a different realm and saw that Garona, which has never shown as anything other than Low pop for the past two expansions is showing as Medium pop. At 3 in the morning. Thatā€™s a lie because thereā€™s 8 people from my realm in Boralus right now, lol.

Either the realms are already showing the population of the realms theyā€™re going to be connected to or something weird is happening because only two realms are showing as Low now:

EDIT: Itā€™s back to Low pop. X-Files music

The irony is Azgalor was among one of the first 20 servers released on launch day back in Nov 2004. I remember a few of us in my guild that got home first to install our games created initial characters on Azgalor, but because of realm release drama and character name unavailability we frantically settled on Sargeras as our home. It baffles me that 15 years later the difference of one hour determined the fate for one of the most populous/popular servers of Sargeras to the crickets of Azgalor. Hereā€™s hoping you get much server love moving forward!

For the love of Cā€™thun please merge Thunderhorn/Blades-Edge US. Dying since Cata, dead since WoD, at this point not even The Jailer could find a use for it.

More CRZ shenanigans. What could go wrong?

Realms connections =/= CRZ.

Yup.

CRZ is really bad for WoW.

But this thread is not about CRZ (Cross-Realm Zones), it is about Connected Realms. Those are very different things.

So what realms have been connected and what realms are getting connected.
Can we please get some information about this? When planning for SL, it would be nice to know what is happening. Some people have been stuck on a realm with a boatload of toons and have basically zero access to end game content because of very limited guild options and the Mythic raid ID rule, even though they were virtually 12/12 Heroic after a week or two.

More info? Even if a given connection is a month+ out, let us know so we can do some planning :coffee: :pie:

Thatā€™s exactly what they donā€™t want to do, because some peopleā€™s idea of planning would be better described as market manipulation.

They have made 2 US connections, just this week, and one EU connection, planned ā€œin the coming daysā€. Iā€™ve also heard they were going to do a RU server connection as well, but it got postponed for some reason.

US : Drakā€™thul / Skywall realms (which were already connected) will join the Silvermoon / Mokā€™Nathal realms (which were already connected).

US : Cairne / Perenolde realms (which were already connected) are now connected to the Cenarius realm (which wasnā€™t connected to anything previously)

EU : Kilrogg / Runetotem / Negrand realms (already connected) will join the Hellfire / Arathor realms (which were already connected).

Blackscar - borean tundra (Russian servers)
Galakrond - Deepholm group (Russian again)

Zirkel des Cenarius(Cenarion Circle) Group - Forscherliga(Explorerā€™s league) group

all of these announced connections havenā€™t happened

they only one that did happen was amanā€™thul - anubā€™arak group (connected on July 8th)

Thanks you Blizzard for an 11 minute log-in queue on a Thursday afternoon. Itā€™s been years since Iā€™ve had to wait to get in the game.
