New Realm Connections are Underway

Still waiting on news for Garona! (fingers crossed for Khadgar/Alleria)

Destromath, an original Vanilla server so dead it’s listed as “new players”.

Send help

I did too, and I’m not on any lists for server connections. Something else is up.

I like low pop servers…hence why I paid to move to one…

dalaran is one of the higher tier pop realms behind only really the mega-realms

That sounds great but are you going to include classic server merges in this? What used to be a med/high pop server now has a handful of people on at any given time. You cant do anything anymore.

I am sort of curious what you like about low pop servers. With CRZ in place, it is not zone population or access to rares.

That would also depend on what type of server it is. For the most part, RP servers don’t CRZ outside of current zones.

Please please connect/merge Earthen Ring. I don’t want my server to still be dead when I return for Shadowlands :’)

they don’t really understand crz so they’re actually unaware of what they think they like

Same here, i just moved my guild to a low pop realm to relieve it of congestion. Will i get my money back now? Lol

No congestion which when really busy freeze up my computer. Plus its great for casual players who cant spend hours upon hours in the game itself. Low pop realms (at least RP servers) gives some of us a better chance at mounts, rares, etc that we had a hard time getting a hold of on more populated realms.

How so? Stuff like tlpd is crz’d and can be sniped by folks off realm.

I just dont see it.

Currently, RP realms do not CRZ in older content zones. That change was made quite a while back so it would not be as disruptive to RP events and communities.

I have alts on Ravenholdt/Twisting Nether. All of my rare spawn mounts were found on there: TLPD, Aeonaxx, & the Camel from Uldum.

I frequently kill Poseidus and never see another soul in Vashj’ir. I can fly through the Basin and frequently see Loque just chilling. Sometimes he even has King Krush along with him.

When I first came to Ravenholdt it was after a transfer from Tich. That was like night and day and such a relaxing time away from all the people.

Of course, when I head to BFA zones I see loads of people – mostly from Emerald Dream.

when we’re out in the world, we’re basically all “off realm”.

…yet somehow, people still have the perception that anyone who isn’t from the same realm as them, is invading “their” realm.

this just isn’t the case.

Whelp these are on hold indefinitely. I wonder if they encountered issues on the backend that they need software it would be nice if blizzard enlightened the community in this subject matter.

So I have an idea. Considering there are a number of people who do actually enjoy trotting along on their small servers without being constantly challenged for rares, quest mobs or just anything really, can we have some system to help with that sort of thing?

Like if I want to farm something or see if maybe I can find that rare spawn before it gets insta killed and wont respawn for 3 days I tend to go to a much less populated server to give myself a better shot at it. Mainly due to the fact I am never home after a reset because I work and don’t particularly have time to just sit and wait for a rare to spawn. Though I know not all rares spawn after a reset but from past experiences I have read about, a lot of people tend to find that mob they need after server resets. This isn’t the only reason this is just one of my reasons because we all have reasons for the things we do, don’t do, want to do or even don’t want to do. I think forcing people into a corner isn’t usually the best option.

So what if they put up specific servers that everyone trying to get into it would know automatically its a low pop server purposely? Numbers can be controlled just like they are on servers currently but at a lower threshold. Now these would likely need to be new servers starting from scratch so people starting toons on them would get a notice at character creation, “this is a purposely created low population server” and give them a link to read about what that entails.

If the idea is bad, you’d have essentially 1 server like that and would likely hurt no one. However, if the idea is good you might end up with 5 or so servers of low pop for people who would rather play there than on the mega-servers. Which also… hurts no one.

Edit: correction in wording “you’d have essentially have” removed one have lol.

Remember that slow auction house response at the beginning of BFA? It took minutes to register a bid on moderately high population servers like Emerald Dream.

On my moderately low population server, it took a second or two at most.

Also, I prefer a less crowded Stormwind. Occasionally Emerald Dream Stormwind overflows into our Stormwind, and there are way too many people - and they are player characters, so they not as nice to interact with as NPCs.

Where did they say that?

EDIT: Aaand they’re rescheduled.
