New races rep grind failed

They were a great idea but poorly implemented behind rep grinds.
I chased the carrot for a while but got burnt out fast. The idea to create a time gate to keep people playing didnt work for me.

If you would have just put the new races behind a simple quest chain I would have leveled most if not all of them but since they were locked behind a rep grind I passed and unsudded

Rep grinds dont work. I’d bet that a lot of people would still be leveling new races if not for the rep grind that chase them off. Its time to stop the rep grinds for new races.

Getting to Exalted with one the current expansion’s factions is not an odious task.

honestly the rep grinds are not what keep me playing, I find all kinds of things I like to do that keep me playing. but that’s just me I am not trying to speak for anyone else

Agreed, and the old rep has been made rather trivial thanks to the increases in rep gains.

I’m still not a fan of the system, but it could be a heck of a lot worse.

There are an awful lot of the Allied Races running around for such a collossal failure. It seems many people have no problem spending an hour or two over a month to get the reputation.

If you really tried, you would have had the four original races unlocked before BFA even shipped. Even if you only did two world quests a day. That isn’t a grind. A grind is killing 21,002 mobs at low rep gains.

What is honestly stupid. If you grind out all this rep then how is a Kul Tiran not already Exalted with the Proudmoore Admiralty.

When you apply a commonsense test to these Allied Races it makes NO SENSE. Like why would my Nightbourne need to grind out Nightfallen rep?

My maghar didn’t with honorbound, but that’s current content so it doesn’t surprise me. Not saying it makes sense, I’m just not surprised.

Tarc is right, that is the whole purpose of this game format, if you want something then you work towards it, plus with the time spent reading all the 'AR rep grind QQ" threads that pop up every day, you would already have them all unlocked

I do not like rep grind or heavy list of things to open race. I am still working on the current ones and they have not been released. I hear to play. Not go grocery shopping with a list my wife gave me. Dang here why do I need to get all these things. they embarrassing. well back to shoping have fun forums.

My Nightfallen Priest is exalted at level 20.

The other races don’t seem to be exalted though. I don’t even think there is a Dark Iron Dwarf faction to be exalted with.

It was for those millions that have unsubbed including me.

The new races should have been unlocked behind a quest chain not exalted rep grinds.

Most people have, if you haven’t noticed. Go look at the reactions to Blizzard’s latest video on Allied Races if you think the way they’re adding them now is being positively received by the general audience.

Sure, that nice feeling of smugness is like a warm bath for the “Don’t Touch Me, Filthy Casual” type, but Blizzard would probably like their customers to stick around.

I didn’t have to grind out reps for any of the new classes, or previous several new races.

You are talking about character progression, which overall I enjoy.

I am talking about character creation, which has now been arbitrarily time-gated. Much like most of the features of this expansion.

Why would they be? They are strangers to Azeroth’s Orcs. Not even from the same Draenor that Azeroth’s Orcs came from. They would need their own Mag’har faction to be exalted with.
