Night Elf Paladin, Kul Tiran Paladin, Worgen and Goblin Monk, Pandaren Warlock.
Wasn’t there already a clear racial distinction between the two cultures or did that develop while they were separated entirely?
The ones we helped also dabbled in fel magic, biggest outlier being when we used fel corrupted Withered as weapons.
But it’s not just for druids, it specially states they were all linked by the enchantment. The druids were bound to the tree because yes the enchantment was already said and done. The druids agreed to that, but it doesn’t change the spiritual link of the Elves.
I would argue not really… Highborne was a denoted rank of aristocracy, but doesn’t change someone’s race. And if that were the case then Nightborne could be druids as it specifically references the Night Elves of Suramar City.
Yeah, I don’t think so too. The effects would have happened later. It’s just odd picturing the prevalent highborne characters differently.
Azshara definitely had the hue of a night elf as well as the larger frame.
At this point with Blood Elves I would say if there’s a will there’s a way. They do retain a spiritual link to the dream just by happenstance of being linked to Nordrassil. Finding a Night Elf to teach them though, that would be the hard part imo.
That’s my view and why I think it could at least have potential. I don’t see why anyone couldn’t become a druid under the right conditions.
No, it doesn’t. Click on the reference and see the actual quote:
Ysera, the Dreamer, also placed an enchantment upon the World Tree by linking it to her own realm, the ethereal dimension known as the Emerald Dream. The Emerald Dream, a vast, ever-changing spirit world, existed outside the boundaries of the physical world. From the Dream, Ysera regulated the ebb and flow of nature and the evolutionary path of the world itself. The night elf druids, including Furion himself, were bound to the Dream through the World Tree. As part of the mystical pact, the druids agreed to sleep for centuries at a time so that their spirits could roam the infinite paths of Ysera’s Dreamways. Though the druids were wary of losing so many years of their lives to hibernation, they selflessly agreed to uphold their bargain with Ysera.
It doesn’t say anything about all elves getting a connection to the Emerald Dream.
Zandalari Demon Hunters because Demoniacs are sweet
It is said that the highborne before being exiled were trying to assimilate to the new druidic society but could not because a sort of mana addiction and the belief that the arcane arts were their birthright. Therefore, they could have brought nature and druid knowledge with them even without the connection with the emerald dream. However, its been largely unused for 10,000 years or so. But it does exist
You know, Telar, instead of trying to cram a huge square peg into a tiny round hole, why not go for the Druids of the Flame angle because a connection to the Emerald Dream ain’t happening.
They were loyal to and got they’re power from Ragnaros and the twilight cult didnt they? Belves aren’t into that
You don’t really need to be snotty. Also that passage has been retconned in Chronicles Vol. 1.
It does specifically say night elf druid, but Dath’Remar and the others were Night Elves. So should they choose to study druidism a connection exists there still. Same blood still flows within the veins of all elves.
I always thought that KT’s not being Paladins was super weird…like…why? Zandalari can be Paladins but the Human race that was the epitome of Paladin’s cant? lol…Just didnt make any sense
That wasn’t me being snotty. That was me offering you a different avenue.
well you said it in an unnecessarily rude and snotty way
We’ve had these discussions before and anytime I’ve presented other avenues you say I’m way to “head canon” and don’t really offer anything constructive.
Orc demon hunters… they have been under the yoke of legion for a while now, would be nice to see them turn that demoinc corruption against the legion like the elves did.
I don’t see it. I could agree to blunt.
You do go into head canon and I thought I did offer something constructive by mentioning Druids of the Flame. They are Druids that turned their back on traditional teachings.
A belf Druid would have to do something like that because none of them really give a fig for the balance of nature.
But the Farstriders page kinda says they do give a frick about nature. I mean considering Thros, the Drust, and whatever is going on in Ardenweld there could be new avenues. However I’d prefer they add new race class combinations before we delve into Shadowlands. No new class and a main feature is customization. Just seems like the right time for it to happen.
