New players have to grind far to much!

the sheer amount of disinformation you’ve been spreading in this thread

putting you on ignore-forever

i dunno, you usually get paid if you work. This is more like gotta do 200 hours community service first, then you can start working for money lol

I love how people constantly cry about the “grind” like Vanilla and TBC weren’t absolutely abysmal grinds.

i started in bc, i didnt find it that bad, The grinds as such were for minor secondary things like special mounts more than anything. Im thinking netherwing or that ray mount which i never got. Doing dungeons wasnt really a grind. Maybe getting into a group was, the epic alt upping in trade chat “x class lf x heroic”. You didnt need to jump a bunch of hoops on each alt, you basically just got to max level and started doing dungeons or pvp and raiding.

I wont deny that you were basically rerunning the same stuff, but it wasnt 3 campaigns and a bunch of side things that were absolutely required. Save for some attunements, but if you didnt plan on doing the raids they locked, then you didnt even have to do them. Someone happy doing heroics and 10 man raiding was basically all set the moment they hit max lvl

i love the people in here claiming the vanilla bc grinds were horrible to but hey let’s not change the game for the better from 2004 to 2022 lol go away. it ain’t that easy for someone just coming back getting everything you need and figuring it all out unless you got someone in discord telling ya. then you got the whole my ilvl sucks compared to everyone else’s which means i ain’t getting invited to squat especially since valor is uncapped and high ilvls still flood the low keys to this day. and no experience in raids from people who do with better gear means you ain’t getting invited to that either if your living the puglife which they probably are considering they just came back.

Dungeons were most definitely a grind. How many people get stuck farming the same dungeons over and over in Vanilla just to get that BIS item that they have to roll for against other people, hell are you lucky enough to find a group? No hoops to jump for alts? Just that long, boring level grind? Plus now you gotta grind dungeons, quests and gear… not to mention the concept of PVP gear taking forever and 3 days to grind. Oh, you did a BG? Here is sub 200 honor. The grind is war worse in Vanilla and TBC.

if you don’t have player power progression during an expansion, players quit. if you do, then new players have to progress through at least the current patch of the expansion

Not sure how things could be different without ruining the game.

At this point, flying should be granted regardless of quest progression and the unity legendary should be available to all, again, regardless of rep status.

Disagree, sounds like you don’t want to play with your coworker.

We have a brand new player to WoW in our guild. Came from OSRS.

He is playing DH and just hit 275ilvl and has both legendaries, will be hitting revered with Enlightened this week. This is after 3 weeks of meeting us.

He has cleared every normal raid with us for the past two weeks and will be getting his slime cat next Tuesday.
