Hello i just started playing the game couple days ago and have been leveling while questing. I just got to level 20 and i noticed after completing couple more quests i was no longer getting experience for them so i can level. was just wondering if this was normal and if not how i could fix this.
If you don’t have a subscription or game time, you can only go up to level 20. Once you subscribe or get game time, you’ll be able to go past that!
In addition, in order to go into The War Within (the latest expansion), you’ll also need to purchase that as well.
But you’re not going to need to do that straightaway, since it’ll take a little while to get to where you can get to the current expansion’s content (you’ll need to be level 68 or 70).
So if you’re ready, get the game time now, keep leveling, then buy the expansion.
Actually, you might want to grab The War Within now, since it’s half off right now.
Right now is a good time to buy. They’re currently running a sale where you can get the Base Edition of The War Within for $24.99 plus tax depending on area. It includes all previous expansions so you get access to all released content. It also includes 30 days of game time and some other goodies.
You can also go to walmarts?electronic section and buy 60 day time cards that way ur not stuck with a 12 month subscription or which u choose if u decide wow not ur thing down the line.
There are over 28000 quests among 2 major factions, like 11 content expansions and more. 48000 achievement points to get. Raids and dungeons, and even pvp if that’s your flavor. Enjoy the game!!!
And for anything that you can’t find an answer to, Wowhead is a website that has ALL the news and info for WoW. The comments on items, mounts, pets, and quests will tell you how to do the quest usually. In particular if other players had any problems with it.
There are Class guides, Profession guides, Event guides, boss guides. Nearly anything you want to know, is there. I tend to try to figure things out myself, but WoW is such a huge game that you will need to look things up once in a while!
With the amount you spent on a sub, $14.99, you could have added $10.00 to that and got the full game AND your 30 days game time. Now is the time to buy.
I had a quick look at it earlier. was going to cost me $67 for The War Within that gave me the game time i need. but instead only paid $23 for just my sub
Regarding the game time that comes with TWW - only the Epic edition provides the 30 days of additional game time with it. The base and heroic editions do not. But given the sale going on right now it’s a good time to consider the base edition at least.
The base edition is $24.99US right now (on sale). The Epic edition, the one that provides 30 days of extra game time, is $44.99US (on sale). The subscription itself will give you access to everything in the game minus the current expansion. The choice is up to you. Either way, enjoy your time in Azeroth!
The base edition gives you the current expansion’s content. The subscription itself gives you access to everything else. Since you already have a month of game time, you can freely explore the game up to the LV 70+ content in The War Within as long as you have an active subscription. Should your subscription expire, any characters above LV 20 will be locked and cannot be logged into. LV 20 and below characters are always available.
The pricing difference between the base and epic version of TWW isn’t just for the 30 days of game time that is included - you get all of the digital goodies listed here. This includes a battle pet, mount, toy, and hearthstone visual effect. If you are solely concerned with game time only and are not interested in the digital goodies, then the base game is your best option since the price difference between base and epic is more than the cost of a month’s worth of game time via subscription.
