New player restrictions

Classic Anniversary.

New players can’t trade, use AH, or mail.

On a fresh server, this puts them at a totally breaking disadvantage. They can’t purchase bags… wands… or even mail stuff to an alt for inventory management.

Many are simply quitting. This restriction is WAY too punishing.

Please fix asap!

Coming from someone who had 500+ days played as of 2012, haven’t played in a decade, come back to start a new toon, i agree, these restrictions are insane. I find out my days played on my main toon was reduced to 5 days played…it’s insane. I played from 2003 to 2012/13 between 2 toons and you’re telling me that i now only have 5 days played on my main? I don’t think so.

Same issue. Here’s to hoping that Blizzard would do good and Devs take notice to give us a positive solution.

I’m not even a “returning player”, I played this year.

But I switched regions from EU to US to have some fun on the streamer server, and because of this the system considers me a as new.

It just doesn’t make any sense because both subs are on the same overall Battle net account, so it should acknowledge I’m not new.

I am actually curious how they expect new players to stay as recurring players with restrictions like these. No way actual new players are gonna accept a full month of these restrictions and think this is a fun game, unless they actually opt in for SSF themselves that is.
Most people don’t even play more than a month straight. They level to 60, do some end game content then quit and take a break.

OP is talking about these restriction being too strict, but in my opinion these restrictions shouldn’t be a thing at all. Not for recurring or returning players anyway.

Sorry for ranting but I actually feel scammed.
I feel like I’m being punished for something I didn’t do.

I don’t think Blizzard intends on helping any of us, as their current stance is, shut up and quit if you don’t like these restrictions. Community manager Kaivax is actively merging and closing threads that have players speaking out against these restrictions.

The real kicker is they don’t even inform new customers about this policy before purchasing. They advertised a full product and then we all received half of the product thus making product useless to many. This is a fraudulent business practice.

Is it actually 30 days “PLAYED”, or is it just 30 days of starting the character?

26 days PAID

We won boys. All restrictions have been lifted.

Don’t forgot to sign my class action lawsuit coming in the mail next year. Blizzard still scammed us the last 3 days and all others in previous releases.

And you can hear the shouts of joy from tailors.

Aww yeah…more power leveling, tip money maybe.

This really was an odd thing to put in. and the fact we got the stuff like gdkp ban (with full article from the blues) but not 1 peep about this was shadey as hell.

they can’t even say fine print…there was no print. Fine or otherwise lol.
