They are just closing threads on this without saying anything. I don’t think they care at all.
Make every single person go through this 26day lockdown. Make it even and everyone gets solo self-found for a month. Then see how fun it is
Making the game garbage for legit players.
I went through this recently and must say it is frustrating when you know you are being punished for other people’s actions. I opened a second account so I can be logged in my main for stuff and try sod classic between ques and other things in game. i couldn’t afford a mount because of it so i was walking around everywhere.
i didn’t realize this was a new system they’ve added. i think they need to lower it by … a lot.
i have seen f2p have restrictions of like 3 days, b2p i think gw2 has a few days too. it’s acutally insane to have a months worth of a hold for a p2p game even those who use to even play.
you guys need to find out how to combat bots better than this lol or lower it by 3 to 7 days idk.
or blizzard could just like you know ban the botters and gold sellers?
Blizzard knows they are wrong which is obvious with the threat based responses. Better yet I truly believe they really don’t know what restrictions they placed on players.
In what way does preventing a player from exchanging mail between their alts make any sense?
In what way does preventing a player trading away mage water and food jeopardize the integrity of the game?
In what way does preventing a player from buying items off the AH protect the integrity of the game.
It would have only taken a modicum of intelligence to craft a simple system of restrictions on new accounts to protect what ever assumed integrity the game has.
I really do think the powers that be don’t realize that players cannot mail their own alts. If they do then they are just being vindictive and operating out of spite.
I saw in another post somewhere that someone had the restriction lifted. I logged in and tested it myself and (at least on anniversary realm which was the scope of my test) I was able to trade someone and was able to use AH. Cheers!
We did it boys! We are victorious in our battle against Blizzard and the endless herd of donkeys! We have no more restrictions!
Don’t forget to sign my class action lawsuit coming in the mail next year. I’m not paying my lawyer holiday rates so this is going to have to wait. Blizzard still committed fraud and they owe us for the last couple of days and all the players they screwed over in previous releases.
I’ll have to check when I’m back at the computer. Big if true!

I noticed something… all the people who are in favor of restriction are from people who are not affected by it.
I also don’t understand why you think searching for a way to prevent bots/goldfarmers AND letting new/veterans enjoy their game is a bad thing.

Looks like I’m still restricted. New ticket that keeps my original open now demands remediation and doesn’t ask. This is somehow now more frustrating. GJ Bliz! Killin it!
Just came to add to this. I’m beginning to think that the restrictions are tied to either time of day, or to how busy the servers are.
I was able to put items onto and buy things off of the Auction House yesterday, but was not able to trade with my friend in my party anything.
Today, I was able to trade with my friend earlier in the day, but now, at this moment, I’m suddenly unable to trade anything and now the Auction House is fully restricted for me. It keeps turning on and off randomly for me, and I’m not sure why.
For those of you currently restricted. I do have over 72 hours paid subscription time, and over 24 hours in game time played. These could be common metrics used for trial restrictions, idk, I’m just shooting in the dark.
Adding an update, I’m suddenly able to use the Auction House again? I used my Hearthstone just before doing so if that somehow matters.
Was having an issue where it seemed like my friends were on a different layer and I wasn’t being ported over even when they added me to the party. Not sure if that’s related?

What is going on?
I’m thinking that there’s more to this than just a simple 30-day restriction. I think part of it is some kind of bug/error since the restriction seems to become lifted or reinstated randomly.
