Sorry, you are not the problem. The boost is. He needs to learn his class and playing ten levels with Winds of Wisdom going on is not going to give him the practise he needs for those dungeons.
Get him to start a new character, learn the game, learn his class, experience some lower level, less complicated dungeons as part of a team, ect and he will be fine.
the world quest gear scales based on your ilvl. base gear is 385 if im not mistaken. and goes up to 415. the emissary quests scale up to 445 but if your gear is low it will only give 385. or somewhere in between.

This is the best way really.
It will fix ilevel real quick to get better drops. And you can just pick up pearls later to fix them up.
I will do this tonight. I got nâzothâd at lunch. My 385 (for warlock) cache dropped a nice pair of shoes. atâŠ66 corruption. 20 or 40 Iâd be okay. 60 rockets it right up the charts lol. I know where to fix it, after Naz jatar start done.

Some specs have a sufficiently complicated rotation that you might want to start with just part of it. If he were prot, for example, Iâd recommend starting with threat management only, and add in the mitigations later. Granted, prot isnât going to be the greatest if he doesnât like dungeons.
You can buy 400 ilvl gear from the AH for pretty cheap. That, benthic, cloak quest, invasions, timewalking, and WQs should get him 430+ in like a day.
I think the opposite: current dungeons are also clear trash, kill boss, move on. BC dungeons at least had some interesting trash pulls that could not just be tanked and spanked, and more interesting bosses as well.
Unfortunately none of the best BC dungeons are in the timewalking set.

Understandable that you like trash to use skills and annoy you, I personally hate it when every other pack has mind control, it becomes ridiculous sometimes.
ok just check my character them itemâs are pretty good.
so⊠dungeons will either love them hate them but they have mechanics once you figure out each dungeons and all the mobs / bosses skills set they got and how to counter it or disrupt it, it can get addictive.
as for gear just do world quests also before go into m+ maybe get to know heroic and mythic regular not a +

and um⊠as for azerite traits if heâs fury you want âcold steel hot blood x3â aim for that if heâs arms you want âtest of might x3â my ideal warrior corruptions would be gushing on all gear 470+ doesnât matter on the level of gushing just gushing . But if fighting a lot of mobs twilight devastation is good but it can kinda suck in enclosed dungeons like way-crest manor or tol-dagor.

If you want him to love the gameâŠencourage him to make a toon and level it. Boosting a brand new one was a mistake, I think.

Heâs been denied a proper introduction to the gameâŠand I donât think forcing him through complicated quest lines at endgame for a cloak when he doesnât even understand dungeons, yet, will help. It will simply be even more overwhelming.
The BEST advice I have is to get him to roll a level 1 warrior. Let him pick a spec and play it out in questing through at LEAST level 60. Have him pick a profession and use it. Have him learn cooking and fishing. Let him hang out in the old world content and justâŠlearn what WoW is.
