Me personally I only like group content but to each their own, the bad thing is in group content is you have people judging you as well and it’s going to be competitive and possibly overwhelming for someone first learning.

good thing about this game…and why i continue to play it even though a lot of it irritates me to no end…is that there is so much to do.
I doubt Im even going to touch dungeons in Shadowlands. This expansion has absolutely made me hate group content.
I’ll heal in old content, but not for current anymore. And Ive little interest in running as DPS in dungeons anymore.
The upcoming changes to leveling really open up the game for your BF.
He’s starting at a perfect time. If he’d have waited until SL’s drops he’d have been forced to run BFA first. Now he can run any content he wants when the changes come and if he is anything like me he’s going to love it.
Me and my wife rarely are doing the same thing in game. But we play ‘together’ because our PCs are on the same 8 foot table next to each other. She shows me what shes doing and I show her.
We can have fun ‘together’ playing the game even if we’re in entirely different content.
Let your BF find out what he likes in the game and he’ll likely be hooked soon enough

Not necessarily, you can play previous expansions, no need to stay current but you’re not going to run into very many people. I see plenty of people still only playing legion.
yeah…buy it…but had he waited till then theyre making new players at that point HAVE to run BFA first…they cant touch other expansions until then.
you did a good thing starting him now.
A $15 sub, however gets him up thru Legion.
I truly think you guys should start from scratch and level some new characters together so he understands how the game works organically.

Actually it’s legion ilvl. Normal antorus drops 210+ gear. Relinquished gear is 192+, and dauntless gear is 180+.
The highest ilvl gear in wod is mythic dungeon gear, which is 154 but can forge up to 156.
Does this only work for the anniversary event?
