I understand that there were extended maintenances, but WoW won’t launch for me. It opens a window like it’s going to launch, then nothing loads and it times out. I did a restart of my cpu, and a scan and repair of game files. Is anyone else having issues? I heard servers were up…

Same, can’t start the game at all.
Exit game. Delete cache folder. Exit Bnet launcher. Relaunch launcher. Try again.

This is what happens when you rush devs to open the servers back up during maintenance.
It’s also possible that the entire country is trying to log in at the exact same time overclocking the servers. Might wanna give it a few mins and try again.

Make sure your firewall isn’t interfering with the launcher. There may be some small update. Let me check to see if there’s a support article on this. One moment.
Same thing here. Try to delete cache folder and scan/repair. Wow opens up blank and then reports as a hang program.

still doesn’t work for me
I was having the same problem, did all of the above including support link and -Windowed mode, none seemed to help and then I turned off my firewall and virus scanner and it suddenly started working.

I got it to work now, I had to turn on compatibility mode for Windows 8.
I’m having the same issue. I tried everything above and still giving me the black screen. My drivers are up to date, and I tried with windowed mode, and I tried exiting the game and restarting battle.net and deleting my cache folder and I also tried restarting my PC. Still same issue. I’m pretty sure my overlay programs are up to date and I’m out of ideas.
I have tried all of the above, turned off my a/v and fire wall - everything. In windowed mode I get a white screen and eventually a message that says WoW isn’t responding. Anything else to try?
