To clarify the Windows 8 compatibility – navigate to the WoW folder “World of Warcraft\_retail_”. Right click on “Wow” and select “Properties”. Under the “Compatibility” tab, click on the check box “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” and then select Windows 8. If this doesn’t work, try the “Run compatibility troubleshooter”

There is a problem with 10.2 dx12 with amd cards, you can switch to dx11 by clicking on battle.net in corner of launcher>settings>game settings> and add -d3d11 to the commandline argument.
