did you guys see the thread of the guy that wasn’t using any software to box that was apparently spam reported and harassed because he was boxing? it’s gonna be hilarious when they waste GMs times with false reporting that won’t lead to account action that then will not be able to ban BOTS because they’re dealing with all the false reports instead. >_>

it became crazy town in here. one guy was talking about banning boxers who use separate computers and bnet accounts by their IPs and essentially spying on people to make sure they’re not cheating. it was… a weird thread, to say the least. lol
You know I believe Blizz said exactly what they wanted to. It’s aimed at botters, most likely related to classic as that is what has gotten the most attention/response from them.
Personally I think they should’ve just let it run rampant there. That no changes means no changes crowd should have really got what they asked for. Just because they were prepubescent kiddos at the time doesn’t mean this isn’t what was always happening in the game.
I still think it’s unfortunate this will probably disproportionately impact small fries that just wanted to box for fun, or people picking it up and starting out that might’ve transitioned from prepackaged software to a hobby approach.
Add to that all the false reports that are going to flood the system.

i argued that too and dude didn’t even understand how botting is done told me i was insane for suggesting it was aimed at botters. i feel like they worded it the way they did for a reason but they have all these weirdos saying they banned boxing and all kinds of other stuff who didn’t even read the page shouting at clouds trying to tell everyone else how things are. lol
and GMs have to look at all those bs reports instead of banning bots. so gg there i guess. lol

They’re on such a “we win” crusade that it’s insane. Many of them have said, in this and other threads, that they don’t even care if you’re breaking the rules… they’re mass reporting.
Hopefully blizz will banhammer the rabidflaggers to make an example for the rest.
if you report enough names that aren’t against the rules you get in trouble. if you report people for cheating who aren’t you should get into even MORE trouble. i hope blizz bans them all tbh.
Give them the penalty that the flags would have gotten if they’d been legit.
Spam report for botting? They’re false reports? Get actioned for botting.
They’d probably be slower on the trigger if that permaban could come back on them.
Stop trying to add what was not said. They were clear, and in no uncertain terms , about what was banned. Stop trying to suss out a narrative that aligns with your desires, especially when that narrative planly does not exist.
