Boosting has always existed (and should always exist). I got many when I started playing back in the BC pre-patch.
You are correct, this will have no effect on commercial bots. I still support this change as a step against multiboxing / mage instance farming culture, but we need real action taken against botting as well.
And heck, regarding these instance bots, it’d be so easy to detect. Simply zone in as a GM, be hostile and targetable, yet unkillable. The bots will simply continue to attack while normal players would be freaked out that they actually get to see a GM like the old days.
I am against however it is you play you soul sucker. You shouldn’t be allowed to drain souls and use their shards to cast your wicked spells.
Yes - you sound equally as silly.
There are plenty of things that are “not vanilla” that are in the game, but as far as I know instance farming has ALWAYS been a thing, it may not be something you enjoy but that doesn’t mean it should go away.
Stop pretending that introducing massive amounts of gold into the economy affects no one but yourself. Mages printing money in instances is not a playstyle choice you dweeb, it is a huge problem for the economy and affects everyone who plays.
The pulls people do today in ZF, ZG and others were not known or at least not widely known in vanilla. Today a huge number of people are using these pulls to clear 5 resets an hour and introduce more gold into the economy on a daily basis than was produced in a week in vanilla, easily. If mages had dominated the economy to the extent that they do today back in 2006 you can be sure Blizzard would have taken some kind of step against it.
gg sgc farm
Multiboxing is allowed, but alot of multiboxers operate outside the allowed form of multiboxing. At no point did I say multiboxers in general, I specifically said “eula breaking multiboxers”, compound words much?
Gold is only introduced into the economy from coin drops from mobs and selling items to an NPC. No player to player transactions create gold.
Please define end user licence agrement breaking multiboxers.
The only way I know of to break the EULA is to bot - and those are not multiboxers - those are bots.
If this change goes in. I will be unsubbing my account. I pay to play this game, I expect to be able to play it how I want, when I want. This isn’t ok.
Yeah no sht. Where do you think most of the gold comes from? 9 months of 5 resets an hour of ZF 1-pulls.
Hey please explain why we didn’t region lock china? I’m really curious at this point.
where is the dislike button?
an extremely great question considering “they aren’t run by Blizzard”, why then should they be allowed to play on Blizzard run servers?
I haven’t posted here in years, but this REALLY BOTHERS me! This is a lazy and selfish solution to this issue. Please do not punish EVERYONE for the bad actions of a few botters and cheaters. FIND THEM. BAN THEM - Please! To do otherwise is not fair to the rest of us loyal paying customers. Make it painful for them to return. FOLLOW THE MONEY… You know who they are… we all do!
terrible solution to the botting issue. please remove the botters. dont punish the player who has too much time on his hands
Wether it’s a 5% drop rate or a 95% drop rate does not matter. There will always be times you see more than you’d expect, and there will always be times you see less than you’d expect. This is how % based RNG systems work. Over enough clears you will see the average work out.
Instead of jumping left you can just run/jump up it, it means you have a shorter amount of blizzards you can use but it’s 100% if you are angled for the jump right.
People need ZG rep so they will farm the mobs for it, or people will still need the coins/bijues for the enchants so now the prices are just going to go up.
ZF is mostly items vendor-ed anyways and you have a slight chance at an epic and only gives you like 50g/hr at average, that’s honesly bad when you consider a warrior can make 100-200g/hr doing a dungeon run for all unneeded.
Doesn’t effect multiboxers at all, their all on another account so their still limited to the new 30 cap like everyone else, it just means that eko’s, and firewater especially will have more multiboxers to min/max gold. They could also end up farming other open world mobs as they have to put little to no effect in killing them (40 players all hitting for 300-900dmg to a mob with 4K HP dies instantly).

Interesting. But the alt doesnt zone in. I wonder if it does count or not. All the same I’m not sure avoiding having to zone out and reset is intended. It’s a little time saving trick.
They’d still be classified as having a dungeon reset as their using the same dungeon ID, or it wouldn’t even reset the dungeon anyways.
stop tryn act like this is a good change
